Eetcafé Jozef Utrecht, fun without but certainly also with kids

While half of Amsterdam is moving away from the capital, especially when the family is expanding, Haarlem and Utrecht are becoming increasingly busier. And, especially in the catering field, only more fun! Where you used to mainly go to Utrecht to hang out at a brown bar (hello Utrecht student city), the center of the country is increasingly the base for any time of the day, and with the whole family. Eetcafé Jozef Utrecht is highly recommended with and without kids.

The very nice and cozy (and delicious) Jozef aan de Mariaplaats. Top location, anyway, because the square is beautiful and perfectly central within walking distance of the central station. Café Jozef replaced Grand Café Maria and tapas bar Bollo's there. In their place was a gigantic café-restaurant with an over-the-top interior full of hidden corners and cozy (vintage) hanging sofas – perfect for a 'secret date'. Just saying. And perfect for an afternoon with kids: there is a large corner that almost functions as a playground, full of games, books and more. The menu also has child-friendly options.

But the interesting thing about Jozef is that the restaurant opens its doors early in the morning, closes them again quite late and serves them all day long, from breakfast through lunch and dinner to late night snacks. On top of that, they roast their own coffee and with 12 types of wine, there is the right wine for every dish. Nothing wrong with that.

And as if that weren't enough, Jozef regularly organizes a range of (musical) events and there is a great terrace, even until late. Like! Jozef
