Even Alcohol Free: wines without alcohol, this is our choice

Pregnant? Or is it one dry whatever month, antibiotics, just don't feel like it for a while or never feel like it... Sometimes the alcohol is left aside and that's a good thing. However, we often find the soft drink alternatives simply too sweet or not versatile enough and, let's be honest, a... #pop is just fun, also alcohol-free. Because trueNormally, an alcohol-free wine becomes sweet rather quickly and you just drink a glass of grape juice. So we did some research and decided that these are the top ones: the best wines without alcohol.

Would you prefer good beers or a Martini Espresso with Lyre's Liqueurs? Then you need this list (also without alcohol).

Sparkling 0% Blanc de Blancs

Le Pétitot, 0% champagne

Le Pétitot, 0% champagne

Okay, very honest, of course you can't call this Champagne, because Champagne has to come from the Champagne region, but ok. Going, It's not champagne, but it's tasty! This sparkling pear cider is completely festive, so another plus. If the flavors are as good as with the Le Pétitot, then you are sold. They have four flavors in the 0.0% range, including pear, apple and a very festive pink apple cider.

Pomme d'Or Cider

Jorg Geiger

Jorg Geiger

We all know that our eastern neighbours can drink well (and we don't mean water). The Jägermeisters and pints of beer sell like hot cakes there, but apparently they can do something about it on the alcohol-free market too. Jorg Geiger is a German winemaker who specializes in alcohol-free wines. He works with old fruit varieties and adds a variety of a lot of herbs and that: delicious alcohol-free wines with a rich taste. At the two-star restaurant park hill In Rotterdam they serve these wines and there is even the option to choose a complete wine arrangement. Perfect for dry January and of course for the enthusiasts also for the rest of the year!

The white and red wine from the relatively new Kolonne Null have been declared the best by the NCR in 2021 best non-alcoholic wine. What do they say then? 'Deep, dark purple in color. Super fruity and juicy. Blackberries, blackcurrants and sweet tannins. And what is especially special: it contains energy. It's alive! Better than many supermarket wines with alcohol.' Look, this is why you do it, right?

You can buy Kolonne Null at (the place to be for non-alcoholic wines) Naked Grapes and at World of Nothing, a liquor store where they only sell low- and non-alcoholic drinks.

Carl Jung Red Shiraz 0.3%

Carl Jung Red Shiraz 0.3%

Not quite alcohol-free, and perhaps that is why this Shiraz still has that extra bit of oomph. Semi-dry, lots of red fruit in the overtone and a nice sleek label. Of course, that's not what you buy the wine for, but it's always a bonus.

De Carl Jung Shiraz is a blend from Germany and because it is somewhat lighter, this red wine also goes well with fresher dishes, but it disappears if you serve it next to a fatty piece of meat, but a (beetroot) carpaccio does go very well.

PasDuTout Mousseux

PasDuTout Mousseux

We think finding a good sparkling white wine is a little easier, but we are always extra happy when you find a really good one. For example this one PasDuTout Mousseux from French Provence Not grape juice, but real wine. So all the flavor (due to the mechanical distillation under a vacuum, but we immediately forget that): fresh, fruity and of course extra bite and party due to that delicious bubble.

Aldea Aldea Verdejo

Aldea Aldea Verdejo

Are you normally a fan of Verdejo? Then try this alcohol-free variant, the Aldea Vedejo. Like most Verdejos, this one comes from Spain. When you open the bottle you can immediately smell it, fresh and fruity notes.

After harvesting, this wine is made as you would expect, the alcohol is only removed later. This is done with a special technique, including rotating conical columns, but shall we just ignore the complicated details this time? Cheers.

N0A% Chardonnay

N0A% Chardonnay

You must come from very good (wine) houses if you taste that the wine contains 0% alcohol. The alcohol has been removed in a subtle way, so you don't feel anything. The recognizable aromas that you normally taste in a wine with alcohol are in this one N0A% Chardonnay therefore still recognisable. Extra pluses: the wine is vegan and contains three times fewer calories than a 'normal' wine.

VENDÔME MADEMOISELLE CLASSIC ROSE

VENDÔME MADEMOISELLE CLASSIC ROSE

A real winner, this fairly new, really good non-alcoholic wine. Also low in calories: approx. 20 kcal per glass. The Mademoiselle Classic Rosé is a fruity, sparkling rosé wine with 0% alcohol based on airèn and tempranillo. The sun-ripened grapes provide the fresh smell and taste of apples and red fruits. Not the well-known apple juice effect. It is also festive. Pop!

You can make wine alcohol-free in various ways. There is distillation under vacuum, reverse osmosis and the spinning cone process, all three of which have their own disadvantages and advantages. Want to know more? Then read here!

L'Arjolle Côtes de Thongue Equilibre Zéro Merlot-Grenache Rouge alcohol-free

L'Arjolle Côtes de Thongue Equilibre Zéro Merlot-Grenache Rouge alcohol-free

L'Arjolle Côtes de Thongue Equilibre Zéro Merlot-Grenache Rouge alcohol-free. Yep, that's quite a mouthful. And we're not just talking about the name, because the taste is what we need to talk about. This is a delicious red wine made from Merlot and Grenache grapes. This pure alcohol-free variant has the perfect fruity, fresh-dry taste. You know, accessible, smooth and nice and mild in taste. In addition, the texture is top, just as you would expect from 'real' wine.

Vinada

Vinada

What's better than a glass of ice cold champagne? A glass of ice cold rosé champagne, right? We think so. And then it's party time and you're pregnant and you can have a ginger ale (or a seedlip, highly recommended!). Big fat bummer. In comes VINADA, a new non-alcoholic sparkling rosé from the tempranillo grape! Without fooling around. Non-alcoholic, tasty and just pretty cool. Because no unnecessarily complicated terminology here, just 'delicious'. The way we prefer it.

Also nice to include: Alcohol-free, how do you keep it up??

Leitz Eins-Zwei-Zero Riesling Riesling

Leitz Eins-Zwei-Zero Riesling Riesling

Never underestimate the power ofa good Riesling, even if it is alcohol-free! The Eins-Zwei-Zero Riesling (still version, there is also a sparkling) has everything a Riesling has: lime, citrus, rhubarb, a little hint of red apple and minerals in the background. He really just misses the alcohol. The wine has a clean and pure taste and a striking amount of structure and length in the aftertaste. Drink it with a gratinated crostini, cauliflower with goat cheese or an Asian chicken dish. And hey, that's also nice after that six-course meal: only 31 kcal per glass. Leitz's non-alcoholic wines are perhaps the best you can find at the moment. They are made by vacuum column distillation. This allows the alcohol to be extracted at a temperature of 29 degrees, so that as little flavor as possible is lost. You can find this explanation and more here pasteuning.nl where you can order the wine immediately! And Hamersma is also a fan, because it was declared the best non-alcoholic wine!

SinZero

SinZero

The experts are unanimous: Chilean SinZero is one of the few non-alcoholic wines that comes close to 'real' white wine. This Chilean alcohol-free wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and therefore has that typical green-yellow color that belongs to a Chardonnay. The wine has scents of tropical fruit, apricots and white nuts. Lots of freshness in the taste, a nice one bite and a real 'wine experience'. According to the experts of non-alcoholic wines webshop Naked Grapes a favorite. The same applies to the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Sparkling Brut, top recommendation. In addition to great taste, SinZero wines have another advantage – they contain very little sugar. Chin Chin!

Lindemans Cabernet Sauvignon

Lindemans Cabernet Sauvignon

Red wine without alcohol remains difficult. The body is often missing and yes, then it is almost just a fruit juice. Now we really found the Cabernet Sauvignon from Lindemans to be recommended! Not a very full, but a bit of that roughness that you can find in a red wine. You drink this one best slightly chilled, then it remains a bit 'denser' and that benefits the wine here.

Lindemans Cabernet Sauvignon

Have you tried all the non-alcoholic wines in the supermarket and still haven't found your favorite or are you just always looking for more? Then take a look at the website Naked Grapes – you will find all colors and flavors and even sample packs to find that one winner. Not drinking has never been so tasty! According to the experts at Naked Grapes, an alcohol-free bubble is the safest option: those bubbles mask the fact that there is no alcohol in it (because that is ultimately also a flavor carrier).
