You will find this serene spot between De Bilt and Zeist. Exactly: centrally located in the country, so easily accessible, but still in the middle of nature. As soon as you drive onto the winding path through the forest, you are welcomed by the sign "deslow down". Let that be exactly what we want during a wedding. And believe us, they know what to do here. At De Vuurplaats, everything revolves around you. Janine (sommelier and event stylist) and Martijn (chef) are always ready from day one. They listen to your wishes, ideas and dreams, and ensure that everything is arranged down to the last detail. No fixed packages, just nice and custom made. They think of everything and even your wedding car can be arranged via De Vuurplaats! They are also present on the day itself to ensure that you can enjoy yourself without a care in the world. Isn't that nice? In addition to her love of wine, Janine is crazy about styling and decoration. Always looking for new treasures, she scours all the brocante markets in France. And we certainly see that reflected in the decoration of the location.
Rain or shine, summer or winter, you are always in the right place at De Vuurplaats. Not only outside, but also inside. The Orangery with large windows has a nice Mediterranean touch. Which is best described as: romantic Provence meets the relaxed family feeling of Tuscany. You will be surrounded by beautiful decorations, warm lighting and an atmosphere that transports you straight to Southern Europe.
Oh, and then there is the Berceau, a “love hedge” of beech trees. Is that romantic? Boys, boys... You don't have to have much imagination to imagine an amazing dinner here with atmospheric lighting under the green leaves. And that goes for more than 120 guests. Truly a fairy tale.
Culinary delights: Open-Fire experience
At De Vuurplaats, food is central. The chefs transform the freshest, local ingredients into culinary masterpieces, prepared on asado BBQs. Fresh vegetables and herbs come straight from the adjacent Moestuin Vollenhoven, while the meat comes from honest, local farmers. We love it. Here you can taste the purity of the land: organic, honest and unforgettably delicious. The matching wines, carefully selected by Janine, are a real treat. And of course this also applies to the bubbles she has available for the toast. Also not to forget: the flowers for the tables and even the bridal bouquet itself can be freshly picked from the same vegetable garden. How unique is that? You won't get more seasonal than that.
Winter weddings
The fire pit is also a true paradise in winter. It's no secret that we love winter weddings. We spontaneously feel warm at the thought of a crackling fire, sheepskins, candles and other atmospheric lighting. Inside the Orangery you can enjoy a cozy fireplace and winter styling to swoon over. Well, what else is there to say. From the first look to the last dance: every moment is magical at De Vuurplaats.
