Pascale, we're so glad you're back! She and her husband ran Le Couple restaurant on Ridderstraat for fourteen years. After her husband's death, she went on to work at restaurants like Visch and the golf course in Sint Michielsgestel. But Pascale is back in the hospitality industry in 's-Hertogenbosch, with her own bistro bar.

An original and unique concept for Den Bosch, but the idea behind it is quickly clear. If a love for making cheese and pate remains in you, then you have to do something with it. That's what Pascale thought too. She could regularly be found in the Kolperstraat and after looking at the 'for rent' sign a few times, she took the plunge. At the age of sixty, she opens her own bistro bar.

Aan Tafel bij Fagel is an intimate bar where cheese is the main focus. And she knows cheese like the back of her hand. She even participated in a cheese competition, where you have to know details about different cheeses blindly. The bistro's cheeses come from Cheese Refiners Van Tricht and Cheesemaker De Oudwijker. Her second passion is pâté, which she's been making herself all her life. The pâté is also on the menu, as are the many secret recipes her family knows. Think of escargots made according to her father's recipe. Every day, except Tuesdays, a maximum of twenty guests can be accommodated from noon to eight o'clock. If anyone proves that a bistro bar can truly have a relaxed atmosphere, it's definitely Pascale.

Enjoy a delicious meal at the trendy Eetbar de Stadt. From early morning until late at night, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But you can also enjoy a cocktail or two. Best to browse the impressive bar & street food menu (even the vegans will recommend it!), which features the tastiest hot and cold Asian street food snacks. You can order these until midnight on weekends, especially for late-night snackers. Recommendations include the fries with rendang and the gyozas.

Every now and then, we forget about Buurt. Because it's not immediately obvious. Fortunately, this forgetfulness is short-lived, because as soon as the sun shines and the clock strikes four, we're there like a shot. As the name suggests, Buurt is all about the community spirit: just checking in, being in the neighborhood, the familiarity, the hub and the gathering place.

The neighborhood is just outside the center and has sun on the large terrace almost all day long. And what else is there? An unusually good Double Smashburger. Just saying: two crispy fried and caramelized burgers with melted cheddar, mustard, ketchup, pickle and little gem. Awesome.

A classic in the Den Bosch pub scene. Cozy, warm, always inviting, and the kind of place you pop in for "one drink" and then lose track of time. No need to waste any more words. You're immediately seated on the charming side of Uilenburg.

Bistro Bon
This is the place to be. Compact and charming, it captures the Burgundian atmosphere Den Bosch is known for. For an early drink that ultimately leads to dinner.
