Buddy Bloeme's top 11 favorites

Hello! Since last March (2016) I like myself buddy mention of Team Bart. A great honor. Not only that, but also superb to do. And now I would like to introduce myself to you in this way. Because Bart is all about traveling (yes), I like to introduce myself that way. Now I have been able to visit quite a few places, and I still have a lot to discover. Hence my personal top 11. Restaurants, cities and countries, some of which I have already visited (and would like to visit again, otherwise these pearls would not be in my top 11) and some of which still need to be visited (as soon as!) (keep dreaming). This top 11 is in no particular order by the way, because making a top 11 is difficult enough, choosing an order is almost impossible. For more of my tips, see instagram of (what else?) Barts Booklet #tipvanBloeme.

Venus & Adonis
Starting close to home: an absolute winner in 'my' city Amsterdam is Venus & Adonis. Everything is right at this restaurant. Good and above all very nice service, delicious food, think of an extraordinary one surf & turf. A good example of not having to choose and I like that because everything is here exquisite. Pieck, Haarlem
Don't deny your origins. Not born (Amsterdam) well raised (Haarlem) I have been coming to Pieck since I was a little girl and Pieck has never disappointed me (check it out). The burger (so juicy), the sandwiches (with beautiful colored skewers, now less impressive than before) and the tastiest cookies with coffee (can we have two?) plus the cozy interior that never changes. Just like the map actually. And Pieck can do that, because Pieck is Pieck. It always feels like coming home here. Especially if we can also sit in the garden in the summer. Honey! I'm home. Sort off. Restaurant Jacobus Pieck

France

France
My first holiday must have been to France. I think, I don't know because it was my first holiday and I was a baby with big baby arms, but knowing my parents: France. The land of wine and love. So tailor-made. Every year I try to visit this fantastic country and recently I was fortunate enough to have one again roadtrip with the family through this country. You will soon read more about Montpellier, Paris Get even more tips on Barts Boekje (but please go to The Clown Bar en Huitrerie Regis) and also some things Remote Places will be announced to you soon. Whether camping or in a house, everything is possible in La Douce France. France

Marrakech
Our 'real' Bart, Maartje, knows how to find the most beautiful places and take the most beautiful photos and share it all with us (hehe). That's why I was drooling at my screen again when Bart went to Marrakech. Oh oh oh, I want to visit this city and this country (Morocco, I know Marrakech is a city) oh so badly. Marrakech, Morocco

Sri

Sri Lanka
Last year I went to Sri Lanka (Sri for intimates) with my girlfriend Brigitte (Brietje for intimates). I highly recommend this country. If you can, go now, because before we know it it will be full of hotel giants, which in principle is nothing wrong with that, but visiting such an unspoilt, beautiful country in its 'original state' is very special. I have tried to list my top tips for you and therefore here are my top 5 from Sri Lanka (a top 5 in a top 11, a nice double take and I'm still doing it nicely): the beach of Tangalle (most beautiful sunset, really), Polwaththa Eco Lodges at Kandy (sleeping with monkeys, yes!), the carrot cake The Barefoot Garden Cafe (sleepless nights because I still don't have the recipe), on safari (baby elephants! about this... more to come...) and The Seaworld Hotel (sounds horrible but oh my: infinity pool, beautiful view and fish bowls made of wine glasses). Sri Lanka.

Australia
On every bucket list that I write is number 1: traveling through Australia for six months. I am convinced that this is a great country. In my imagination it has the most beautiful beaches, the highest rocks, terrifying cliffs, the most relaxed cities (with the most relaxed people) and a lovely warm temperature. Now I also know that my fantasy probably does not completely match reality, but I will have to discover that. For now, save and dream away with the tips of Anne about Australia. Australia

Road trip along the west coast of the US
My number two on the bucket list is: taking a road trip along the west coast of the US. I know, I don't have a modest bucket list, but hey, it is one wish list and then that's allowed. There is almost nothing more fun - in my opinion - than touring and stopping at the most beautiful places along the way and enjoying good company (sisters) and good food (everything, except salmon). This stop is definitely worth a visit Portland (the foodie city), San Francisco and the entire Baja Californië go region. Nothing nothing modest on my bucket list. North America

Barts Boekje - New York for Dummies 1

New York City
So does New York need any explanation as to why it's a favorite? I don't think so: New York City

Spain
France has been a favorite for many years. But when I travel I like a warm temperature, perhaps not yet noticed, but good facilities in terms of food and drinks and, if possible, also some culture. Yes, secretly a bit of a cultural barbarian because a nice afternoon of food comes before a visit to a museum. This is all possible in Spain the better prices. Valencia en Barcelona (also with a beach, can it get any better?) are favorites and I will be going soon too Madrid to discover. Spain

Airbnb
Thursday is the day on which we share Airbnbs at Barts Boekje. Because of my love for poking around in other people's homes, I love rounding up the very best of the very best Airbnbs. Airbnb

cape town

Kaapstad
Last but - absolutely - not least: Cape Town. Last May I went to Cape Town with my family, what a great city. Perhaps naive, but I had no idea how hip, how beautiful (really breathtaking) and innovative Cape Town is. Highly recommended. The go to's? Food: Kloof Street House en Café Paradiso. Wine tasting: Babylonstoren (If I could sleep there for a night...) Drinks: Secret Gin Bar en The Ching Ching Rooftop Bar. Well, actually there is no choice... I have listed a number of my tips, but if you really want to stay informed, follow 'us' Marcelle, Barts Buddy, on location! Kaapstad
