Brand new hotel Chesa Marchette in Switzerland
A pearl of a hotel has been open since December 2025 in Sils Maria, Switzerland. Chesa Marchetta is a small-scale hotel with thirteen rooms, located in the Engadin, an area known for its nature, tranquility and long cultural history.
Nestled between lakes and mountains, the village of Sils Maria has been attracting hikers, skiers, and those seeking a more leisurely pace for years. And now, Chesa Marchetta has been added to the mix, and that's promising.
The hotel is housed in a historic building and has been carefully renovated, respecting the original Engadin architecture. Inside, you'll find plenty of wood (lots of it), traditional details, and an interior that incorporates art and design, with artworks by several artists displayed in the rooms. Each room is uniquely furnished, not overly luxurious, but with a strong focus on aesthetic comfort.
The restaurant is also a key element of Chesa Marchetta. The kitchen uses seasonal ingredients and draws inspiration from both Swiss and Italian cuisine, a promise of excellent cuisine, perfectly suited to the Engadin region.
Not a hotel guest, but still want to visit Chesa Marchetta's restaurant? It's possible! Both hotel guests and non-hotel guests are more than welcome. It's a more refined cuisine, so no easy pizza or pasta carbonara here.
