Cleeff, Haarlem

You may not get there as quickly, Haarlemmer or not, on 'the other side' of Central Station Haarlem. You should, because there in the Kleverpark neighborhood opened the fresh, mint green and, above all, particularly 'vandal-proof' (read: for the little mini-human aka Bart Junior) Cleeff. The café was named after the neighborhood and that is Cleeff in a nutshell: one cafe cafe in a 2016 jacket. We sat down and saw mothers with their offspring, chattering twenty-somethings, self-employed people and a neatly dressed grandfather - jacket, red and yellow bow tie, polished shoes and gold-studded walking stick.

You can eat and drink the better organic delicacies: sandwiches with tuna and peppers, for example, highly recommended. The herbal tea comes in the most beautiful glass jars, although we were already sold out when the mini sweet cake arrived on the table on a small, vintage bird dish. All the best Cleeff? That you can walk in in the morning and sit there quietly all day long, surviving the lunch rush, until peace returns and the place is actually at its best. Cleeff
