This specialty beer café with restaurant is located in an old warehouse in one of the most beautiful places in Groningen: the Noorderhaven (and 50 meters from the Noorderplantsoen and that is win-win, believe us).
So Dokjard Groningen, which once started as a dream of two friends, brews its own beer and not only that: they also cook varied and surprising dishes with it. And they do it well! Whether it concerns their beer or the food, everything is prepared with their own twist and a good dose of enthusiasm.
Not an entirely unimportant fact: treating our planet in a responsible manner is of paramount importance to Dokjard. That is why all products come from small suppliers with love for animals and nature.

Brewery Martinus
You will find Brouwerij Martinus in the city center of Groningen, a stone's throw from Grote Markt. A family business that has grown into a professional company with a tasting room, a restaurant and a nice roof terrace with a view over the city.
Bax beer
Baxbier is located on the Friesestraatweg and was founded in 2014 by 2 friends. What started as a hobby grew into a serious brewery. An afternoon of drinks (in other words: beers!), dinner, or a tasting with a tour, it's all possible at Bax. 'Seriously Playful' is their motto and you certainly see that.
Prael Groningen
You may already know De Prael from their branch in The Hague, but they also have a nice location in Groningen. Namely at the Boterdiep. A brewery with a mission. De Prael believes that everyone deserves a chance. And that is why there are people working at Prael who are always left out of the labor market. In this way they want to close the gap in the labor market. So actually two missions, because letting the guests enjoy special beers and good food is their other mission!
