Restaurant Eska, Prague

Restaurant Eska, Prague

Another Prague gem: Eska is a restaurant with bakery in the Karlín district. Eska combines old with new and turns standard ingredients into something unrecognizable. Eska's menu is based on traditional rural Czech cuisine, using ancient methods such as fermentation, drying, wood heating and roasting over the fire.

The chef's 5-course menu with freshly baked bread and local wine is - without exaggerating - one of our best culinary experiences. Ever. So you must have tasted it.

Eska.

Another Prague gem, Eska is restaurant with bakery located in Karlin. Eska combines the old and the new, apparently changes common ingredients beyond recognition. Their meals are based on traditional rural Czech cuisine using re-discovered old methods – fermentation, drying, wood-heating and fire-roasting. The five course menu selected by their chef along with fresh bread baked in the downstairs bakery and accompanied by selection of local wines was without exaggeration one of the best culinary experiences of my life.
