5 reasons why you should buy a ticket for the Wilde Weide festival
Festival season incoming... Near Emmeloord, just over an hour's drive from Amsterdam, is Kraggenburg, and this year one of our favorite festivals is being held there again: Wilde Weide. We have, of course, even more festivals We love them, and there are quite a few coming up in 2026, but we'd like to highlight Wilde Weide, and for good reason. This year, Wilde Weide kicks off on Friday, July 3rd, and runs until Sunday, July 5th. Expect a mix of emerging bands and unique niche acts from the Netherlands and abroad. Think fresh indie and synth pop, hip-hop, danceable blends of funk and roots reggae, garage rock, captivating psychedelia, melancholic neoclassical, and left-field house and breakbeat. That's quite a mouthful, but in short: something for everyone!
No overblown headliners just for the sake of it, but a great lineup. From 2manydjs and Special Request for the night, to Sef, Hang Youth, Jungle By Night, Weval (live), and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 for everything in between. Lots of live acts and even more energy. And that whole range of genres? Great too! Don't like garage rock? Then just hop on over to another genre you do like. Discovering new artists and genres you might not normally listen to is precisely the charm of Wilde Weide.
Get lost, because Netl in Kraggenburg isn't a barren plain with fences, but forest, sand, water, and open spaces. You'll walk from stage to stage through nature instead of over concrete slabs. That makes three days of festival a little more than a holiday, rather than a standard festival. Spend the night at the Wilde Weiden campsite and get away from it all, surrounded by nature.

These fields also serve as camping sites outside the festival grounds, with natural, green dividers. A true vacation spot! This way, you're guaranteed to be together with your friends, you don't have to lug awnings, chairs, and tables, and you can charge your phone at your tent. The easy-up tent you borrow from us is also much more sustainable than a party tent that gets thrown away after a single festival weekend.
Wilde Weide doesn't feel like a huge crowd rushing from stage to stage. You can linger for a performance, check out a new genre, or accidentally stumble upon something cool. Wandering isn't a marketing term here; it really happens. The grounds are large enough to wander freely, but not get lost. So if you ever lose your friends, no problem, you'll find each other again in no time.
We always enjoy something new and that is why we are pleased that Wilde Weide has more to offer this year areas has. With new areas in the bamboo forest and The Lodge, there is even more space for house, bassJungle and breakbeat, without everything being too loud. We also believe good sound systems are essential, along with good DJs and plenty of space to dance like no one's watching.
Three days away, just over an hour from Amsterdam, sleeping in the countryside and, above all, enjoying the results, watching music during the day without a rush or a strict plan, and no one demanding anything from you. Wilde Weide is the kind of festival where you don't have to recover from all the stimuli on Monday, but mainly think: Just give me another weekend like this, great!.
