Green glamping in Belgium at glamping Château De La Chapelle (Ardennes)
You will find it in the Belgian province of Liège - in the Ardennes Chateau De La Chapelle. Chateau? Chateau? You said Glamping, right? Yes! Glamping in and near a castle, count your winnings.
Tucked away in a picturesque village called Anthisnes, this beauty of a glamping spot is nestled. Highly recommended if you ask us. Green glamping in Belgium at glamping Château De La Chapelle, in the Ardennes? You have our approval!
Sleep more in the green? Voila: staying in Dutch nature many times.
Surrounded by greenery you sleep under the stars in the Valley of the de La Chapelle estate. From the estate you look out on a medieval castle, which dates back to the 13th centurye century. With one, how could it be otherwise, Chapel in the garden.
Château De La Chapelle opened in 2021 and has not yet been overrun by tourists (shjt, so keep this tip to yourself). This best kept secret has 9 rooms in the castle. But our personal favorite is one of the 10 beautiful tents in the valley gardens of the castle. These will be open from spring and what pictures they are.
The camping pleasures – fun for the kids, after all – but not the burdens. Best of both worlds. And that is what we are going for in 2022. Bye deflating air mattresses, sweaty places and tents in the size you can't-turn-your-butt. Here we go (terrible term, but we'll throw it in anyway): Glamping.
After all, no one is going to sit and mess around for his or her pleasure. Daily life is – sometimes – hard enough. Chateau de la Chapelle is all about luxury, comfort and design. The tents of de la Chapelle are furnished by By Little Nomad: a new Belgian brand born from a passion for travel and treasure hunting (we like!). That love is reflected in the beautiful styling of the tents: handmade cushions, rugs and delicious linen bedding.
Picture perfect. This warm, boho vibe is exactly what you are looking for to imagine yourself in a different, idyllic world. Sitting on your own veranda, looking out over the valley with a good glass of wine in your hand. That's how we roll. Here you will already feel homesick before you have finally left.
We hear you thinking: what about the food, on such an estate? Good news: Château De La Chapelle has an open-air restaurant where cooking is done in the summer by a real chef with a Michelin star. This conjures up works of art on your plate that you will admire, using it farm-to-fork principle. This means: a lot of local, organic, fresh and green. So you don't have to worry about that food at all. You simply join us, before rolling a few meters further into bed. We'll repeat it: a place where you don't want to go home anymore.
You can also take a dip in the swimming pool on the estate - or drop your kids here and then relax in the cocktail bar. Hitting a ball on the tennis court is also an option. In addition, there are saunas, a hot tub and stunning sunsets over the valley.
Fancy a little more action? Take the kayak to descend the Ourthe river. Another recommendation is a visit to the spectacular stalactite caves of the Comblain. Or take the kids to the Outsider Ardennes Adventure Park. Of course we drag those kids to this green glam getaway, but it is also their holiday. Finally: a detour or two in the area around Anthisisnes is very nice. That is incredibly beautiful. But there's only one way to find out.
Be quick book, you want to be able to stay in this beautiful place in the spring or summer of 2022.
