5x Healthy Ibiza Hotspots (for when we are allowed again)

As soon as the borders open again, we will of course be seated front row on the plane towards THE favorite of favorite islands, of all times even: Ibiza! Or Eivissa, as they say so beautifully in that sultry language. And because - we told you before - you, you must know (just read once here(we already have enough) If you can never get your hands on it early enough, we have listed the hottest news on the healthy hotspot for you here. Because of course, even if we are allowed again, it is still a must to do so fresh, green & healthy possible (even if it is only to compensate for those Spanish Verdegos).

Amoro - Plant Based Deli, San Rafael

Amoro - Plant Based Deli, San Rafael

If we can talk about the island's biggest lifesavers during the lockdown, it is: love very high on the list. If you are only allowed to leave your house for eight weeks for the much-needed groceries (which you can then only get at the nearest convenience store), then you understand how happy we were that more and more restaurants on the island were offering delivery services. Including Amoro. And how! From lockdown day number one, they were ready, with a new divine menu every week and with daily changing fresh dishes, to keep us all as strong & healthy as possible.

Dutch Daan and her Spanish husband have been organizing picnics and pop-up dinners for groups since 2013, but at the end of last summer Daan opened her own plant-based Deli in Sant Rafael. The menu often contains vegan and gluten-free dishes, inspired by Mediterranean, (middle) Eastern and Moroccan cuisine. HiShe uses local and organic fresh products as much as possible. In addition to the take away and delivery options, you can also enjoy your lunch in her beautiful Deli. Amoro also provides catering for events, retreats and the aforementioned picnics, which are not only incredibly tasty and healthy, but also a treat to watch.

Even more great Amoro news: from this season onwards, the richly filled, good-looking (and not entirely unimportant) cooled picnic bag will soon be delivered to your villa, on your boat or to your beach bed. Holiday feeling to the max!

Fortunately, Daan does not rule out that they will organize pop-up dinners again in the future. We can't wait. Of course, you're the first to hear about it.

Can Mimosa, Santa Gertrudis

Can Mimosa, Santa Gertrudis

New in Santa Gertrudis town! You have to find it (in the street behind Musset), but once you have arrived, the entrance alone will make you happy. An extremely attractive terrace covered with lush flowers.

Inside it is cozy, intimate and atmospheric in a stylish way. If you continue walking, you will enter the equally charming courtyard and despite that Can Mimosa is located in the middle of the village, they have a vegetable garden where they grow their own vegetables and fruit. The menu offers a new surprise every day, but the highlight here is the Sunday Roast, which is also available in a vegan version. On Sundays it is bustling here with large families at long tables, where lunch naturally flows into dinner. Cheers!

Shamarkanda, San Juan

Shamarkanda, San Juan

This week we finally got a little bit of freedom back here in Ibiza. Although the beach is still off-limits, restaurants were allowed to reopen very carefully. And how wonderful it was to be able to sit down and be served again after months. We took it in stride Shamarkanda. This winner is now about 2 years old alive and truly one of our favorites, high time for an honorable mention. Here too, local products are used as much as possible, which come together in special international dishes from all over the world. From California Sushi rolls with flambéed salmon, Greek Tzatziki caviar and Thai papaya salad to Russian salad in soy sauce with chili flakes.

On Sundays there is life music and the garden transforms into a bustling one get together of locals, artists and musicians who gather here after the San Juan market. Unfortunately, those vibes weren't completely back this week, but... surely but slowly getting there dear people, really!

Ve Café, Santa Eularia

Ve Café, Santa Eularia

This 'Plant Based Kitchen' on the Boulevard of Santa Eularia opened its doors at the end of last year, as part of the new fancy W hotel just behind it. Large banks of turquoise and Instagram-licious tiles immediately catch the eye. The glass fronts plus fancy furnishings make it almost 'un-Santa Eularian'. Only vegan & vegetarian poke bowls on the menu. From Wake up Acai Bowls to Hot Buddha and Dessert Bowls, full of ingredients from local and organic farms on the island. You can't get it greener.

Cana Pepeta, San Lorenzo

Cana Pepeta, San Lorenzo

Although a (very) old acquaintance, on the road from San Lorenzo to San Juan, but since last year completely renovated by one of Ibiza's most famous catering entrepreneurs David Rearte. The interior is a clever combination of the authentic finca style - thick white walls, cozy intimate spaces, terracotta tiles on the floor and wicker lampshades on the ceiling, with a sleek extension with a concrete floor and lots of light, white and glass attached to it. In front of it is a cozy patio with a bar and stone grill, from which the organic meat and eco-fish come from the arts. But even the herbivores among us will not be left hungry here, because with dishes such as 'Sweet and tender Aubergine' and 'White Asparagus, finished on the grill' on the menu, it is a pretty good place to be even without meat or fish. So Cana Pepeta can definitely be included. Even off the map, this hottie is one must go as far as we are concerned.
