Heatless curls: with these five viral ways you can create curls in your hair without heat (budget-proof)

Unfortunately, not all of us are blessed with a big head of curls. Then we can get creative with the product we are such a fan of: the Dyson Airwrap (read the review here). But there's a good chance we won't always have access to a power outlet (or the ability to lug that Dyson Airwrap everywhere) this summer. Ditto for the curling iron and moreover, that heat is anything but good for your locks.

Thanks to TikTok, its heatless curls – curls without heat – completely in. Curls in those locks, without (complicated and heating) devices, , how your grandma used to do it. Most of this list gives tips for curls in your hair while you sleep (literally beauty sleep) and for most of this list you pay nothing. Take care of this with these viral ways shavings in your hair without heat.

Heatless curler set

Heatless curler set

De OG  heatless curls, so we would Kitsch's Satin Heatless Curl Set can describe. A curl aid that's going fast on Amazon. The set consists of two satin scrunchies and a matching rod, which you wrap your hair around and secure before going to bed. In the morning you wake up with a head of curls that you dread, while saving money (that twenty euros is a bargain compared to a Dyson), time, and your hair. You won't notice it while sleeping.

The reactions are positive, although there are of course also (cheaper) alternatives.

Panty

Panty

So cheaper alternatives, here we go. Take a look around your house for a washed out one panty (after all, it has to be on your head).

It's nice when a fashion item is multifunctional, which is also the case with tights. Also find some hair clips/clips and hair elastics and then you can start. This is done in almost the same way as with the heatless curler set. Make sure your hair is slightly damp (not wet, just damp) and divide your hair into two sections. Use the tights as a hair band and secure with the two clips. Then make two braids around the tights. Secure it with the elastic bands and sleep tight!

Socks

Socks

The panty was easy, but if you haven't come across it in the underwear drawer, you can also get one from that drawer. sok fishing. Same - wokay up like this – principle, but with curls in your hair. It might take a little longer, because instead of two sections, you now divide your hair into four sections. If you have a large head of hair, you may need some more parts. Then divide each part into two parts, placing the sock in between. You secure the sock with the clips and instead of braiding, you can twist here. Then tie your hair again at the bottom with an elastic band and your beauty sleep can begin.

All socks and tights in the wash? Toilet paper is the answer. Yes really, wrap your hair around one sheet of toilet paper and tie the ends of the sheet together.

Hair popping

Hair popping

We need to catch you up on this hair popping. Popping is a method to dry your hair and give your curls a boost. It may not work for everyone, especially if you have straight hair it is difficult, but it is worth a try. All you need is a T-shirt (soft cotton) or microfiber towel to keep the curls defined while you remove excess water from the hair before air-drying.

First detangle your hair with a brush and then dry it slightly with a towel until your hair is damp. Then you throw your hair forward and wrap the T-shirt in your hair. Make a button with the sleeves. Voilà, dry for an hour, add some mousse and the wavy curls pop up.

Papillotes/rollers

Papillotes/rollers

Guess who's back! Papillotes and rollers are back and we can only be more than happy. first things first, the thinner one papillotes provide very tight curls and the larger ones for waves. Put the top half of the hair up and start with the bottom half. Take a strand and roll it in the papillote. Hold the papillote on both sides while you roll it up. You secure it at the top of your hair by folding the ends together at the roots of the hair. You can also sleep with this again. And then the rollers, which are available in a cold and warm version, where the cold ones are better for your hair. Tip: go for self-adhesive rollers. Start at the top of your head and roll counterclockwise towards your hairline. It takes a bit of trial and error to figure out how to place them best, so practice makes perfect.
