The best thing about Zakynthos (with kids)
Favorite holiday destination? Greece is on the list anyway, and yes, especially since we started going on holiday with the kids: sunny, the Greeks love kids and you don't run out of ideas about all kinds of trendy beach bars: the authentic places where you can get a fresh fish for a few euros , are the most fun.
There are quite a few nice ones spots in Greece, but one island has not been discussed much here yet... Zakynthos, you have not been forgotten! Because Zakynthos is perhaps the best Greek island for a seaside holiday with young people and toddlers. Hence the best thing about Zakynthos (with kids).

A few years ago Zakynthos was your typical one ladies on tour holiday. That is no longer the case, now it is just green and blue sea as far as the eye can see. The island has even been labeled as the greenest island in Greece. Much of the south coast is a nature reserve where endangered turtles are protected. You will also find a range of blue and green bays here. How about little Xigia with real underwater springs or Porto Limnionas with sunbeds between the rocks and parasols between the palm trees? Okay, so it's no secret that the island's nature picture a perfect is. But the island has even more beautiful things. The mountainous interior consists of many dreamy villages that rise above the pine forests. It's great for the active, because you can walk through the countryside from village to village or take a nice bike ride. And the kids will thank you after a visit Askos Skone Park: a nature reserve where you can see deer, chinchillas and dozens of other animals that live here.
Do you know that Venetian castle above the harbour? No? Well, here's this one. After discovering the castle, you can relax with the kids at the pizzeria on the cozy San Marco Square in Alesta - full bellies, happy children.
Zakynthos also has a wide range of beautiful beaches. And if you do go to Zakynthos, you should pay a visit Mango Beach† At the Tsivili Beach Hotel you will find one awesome beach bar. A nice place to laze on sunbeds and enjoy the nice weather and the oh-so-blue sea. And if you're hungry, you can walk straight away beach bar in for a bite.
If you are ready for a bit of luxury during your holiday, Porto Zante is the place to be the place to be. Above a beautiful bay you will find eight villas with five-star facilities. And the kids are very welcome! There is a playground, mini golf and more fun. The cozy Peligoni Club is fun for toddlers and teenagers - and also for parents, because they have a few hours me time-.
