Almost open and already more than fun: Hotel Bries The Hague
It was time to do something from that again The Hague corner - of course, a lot of things are happening there in the meantime. This week's discovery? The new contemporary Scandi style colorful (yes, are you still there?) Hotel Bries Den Haag, penned by the creative people behind The Unbound in Amsterdam-West and Hotel Pistache. Hotel Bries is definitely in the nicest area of the Hofstad: on the edge of the Statenkwartier, three times a mile from the Frederik Hendriklaan (the nicest street in The Hague) and the harbor of Scheveningen (hello fresh fish evening). Almost open and reservations can already be made!
Hotel Bries will open its doors in the summer of 2021 (but can already be reserved) and is located in the popular Statenkwartier, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in The Hague, if not the most beautiful, we think. The hotel has thirty-two compact and smartly decorated rooms, all inspired by the Scandinavian color palette. Dark green and rust brown, nude and cornflower blue and gray and mustard yellow – yummy! And all peace and quiet. Also nice.
This tranquility also translates into the absence of a manned reception and a restaurant where you can dine in the evening. If you don't feel like being in that crowded lobby, breakfast room and actually just want to come and go when it suits you best, then Hotel Bries the place to be. Logical too, ergo that location. You check in with a digital key (GuestKey) via the Hotel Bries app. Easy peasy. The app is very handy: you will find various current tips near the hotel, 24/7 Service– and contact details and you can also use the app order an extensive breakfast box, which will be delivered to your door the next day. And then that hotel luxury in your room…
Each room has a practical small pantry, so that you can help yourself to a large extent - handy if you want to go out with your family (spacious family rooms can also be booked!) and make bottles, snacks and more of this should be. And further? Furthermore, in addition to being very beautiful, Hotel Bries is the perfect base for going out in and around The Hague. From getting a breath of fresh air on the Scheveningen beach, coffee to go in the Frederik Hendriklaan (do it!) or just stroll around,
