Spend the night in the middle of Madrid at Hotel Montera

Spending the night in the middle of Madrid is possible Hotel Montera Madrid (Curio Collection By Hilton). In 2023, this hotel opened its doors opposite Gran Via metro station, within walking distance of most sights in the city center. Not only that location ensured that the hotel received five stars, there is more that we would like to tell you about.

First of all the rooms, ultimately you book a hotel to sleep. You will certainly do well here, because the beds are so comfortable that you actually don't want to get out (only to take a bath, if you sleep in a suite). The rooms and suites are bright and modern, have a rain shower and are fully equipped. We can't imagine it, but if you miss something, the staff is always there for you. That staff is led by general manager Nacho de la Fuente, who clearly knows how to perform his task well.

In the summer, Madrid can get scorching hot. All you want to do is sit inside with the air conditioning on or lie in the water. Luckily, all rooms in Hotel Montera have air conditioning and there is a roof terrace with a swimming pool where you can cool off. On that same roof terrace is cocktail bar El Cielo de Chicote where they mainly serve cocktails, but also tapas and desserts. That roof terrace is great, but the way to the top may also be named. Instead of a mirror, the elevator has a glass wall through which you can look at a cheerful mural while you rush up.

Breakfast is not served on the roof terrace, but one floor below. You can sit inside, but if possible, sit on one of the two terraces. In addition to an extensive buffet including fresh juices, fruit and cake, there is the option à la carte can be ordered - it is included in the price, so it would be a shame not to do it. We tried the banana pancakes and the avocado toast and they tasted good; what was served on tables next to us also looked promising. Good ground to explore the rest of the city.
