An old KLM office that now feels like a mix between a hotel and an art gallery. Hotel De Plesman is a place with a story. You sleep here between designer furniture, high ceilings and art that honors the past. Think: warm colors, art on the wall by Soo Burnell and Casper Faassen, among others, and a quiet atmosphere that makes you land immediately.

You can stay for a short period of time, but also for weeks. There are also stylish apartments (The Residences) for those who are in the city for a longer period. And then that location: right between the center and the beach. You can choose every morning: do you go for coffee shops and shops or sand between your toes?

De Plesman

smitten we are at the brand new hotel in the heart of The Hague. Rode? How many do you want? In any case, there are the looks: they are, to say the least, quite successful. What also helps is that we have always been fond of collecting frenzy in an interior a la The Selby (is in your house – buy that book). That is exactly the idea behind The Collector (and the SLOK Hospitality Group): 'Everyone is a collector and everyone does it in their own way, but many collection elements can be seen throughout the hotel. The rooms of this quirky and intimate hotel feel like one art collectors space where arty birds, creative types and adventurers will undoubtedly feel at home. That starts at the entrance of the hotel: in a mini flower shop. Original and smart. Because flowers always do a person good (except for the odd ones) and with that feeling enter so you have the case. The cheerful Australian who welcomes you will do the rest. And then we still have to go inside...

The Collector

After years (four years!) of renovations, the legendary Carlton Beach Hotel Back in Scheveningen, and what a return! Completely revamped, including a brand-new restaurant: NomonThere they cook with an open fire behind a gigantic glass wall with a sea view (yes, hello dream dinner).

The interior received a major makeover from Creneau International: sun and seasons as the common thread, lots of walnut, textiles, and chrome. Stylish rooms, a warm, informal atmosphere. vibe and details that make you happy: a 40-meter wool carpet that changes color, retro orange donut sinks, clothes steamers in every room and elegant round self-check-in desks, so nice and crazy.

Carlton Beach Hotel in Scheveningen

An old bank building, a gigantic atrium and a vibe that is both stylish and relaxed. voice is a modern hotel with a light and airy feel, even the smallest room here feels spacious.

You eat in a restaurant Botany (think: lots of plants, round tables, fresh and green food) and drinks cocktails at Ultramarine, a bar that feels like a place you would like to go to even without a hotel room. Families can go here, but it is also great for a romantic weekend or business trip.

Bonus: the old safe is still there in the basement. Yes, really.

Voco Hotel

It is and remains our favorite in The Hague, as we are *always* up for a fantastic classic where the locals know their stuff. In the mood for a bit of royal luxury? Hotel des Indes is your answer. The spacious and chic hotel is situated on the Lange Voorhout and is everything you expect from a historic five-star hotel: velvet, thick curtains, chandeliers. But it is not only beautiful, it also feels special.

Here you don't book a night, but a true experience. A festive weekend, an anniversary, or simply because you want to treat yourself. Forget the high tea not: porcelain, cakes and peace, in the middle of the city.

Hotel des Indes

Sleeping in an old bank building, right across from the palace? That is possible at Hotel Indigo. The vibe is stylish and a touch mysterious, with nods everywhere to the bank that was once located here: vault doors, marble and brass details.

The rooms are inspired by a spa. Think: soft bathrobes, a rain shower and slippers ready to use. And all within walking distance of the Binnenhof, the Mauritshuis and Escher in the Palace.

You have breakfast, lunch or dinner at Stocks and Bonds (yep, that name also refers to the banking stories). This is one of those places where you can easily relax, but still be in the middle of the city.

Hotel Indigo

Behind the Palace Garden, in a beautiful old building with art-deco vibes, you will find Park Central. It is a hotel where classic and modern complement each other perfectly. Think: a grand staircase that you want to photograph, rooms with dark green and orange accents, and maybe even a balcony with a view of the greenery.

It is super central: station around the corner, center a few minutes walk away - and it all feels relaxed and cared for. Perfect for a weekend of culture and sea. You will come back here without any problem.

Park Central

Small, cozy and with a lot of style: La Paulowna is a boutique hotel on the cozy Anna Paulownaplein, in the middle of the Zeeheldenkwartier. Everywhere around you: coffee shops, nice shops and delicious restaurants.

The suites are all just a little bit different, with their own color, vintage finds and a homely atmosphere. Kingsize beds, a sitting area and a view of the garden or city. There is no elevator, so that is good to know, but otherwise this feels like staying with a creative friend with taste.

You are within walking distance of the center, but also of the green. City or forest? You choose. And the beach? You can get there by tram in no time.

La Paulowna

At City villa Mozaic are you okay. A nice boutique hotel – Yes, no mass fuss – with 25 rooms, from cozy singles to family rooms for four. The hotel is located in the cozy Archipelwijk, close to the boutiques on the Denneweg, near Scheveningen. Established in a beautiful Hague mansion, so there is certainly an authentic atmosphere.

Big plus: Mozaic is part of Fine Hotels & Suites, which does very well in the field of sustainability. They also carry the Green Key Gold label (a quality mark for sustainable sleeping places).

Ideal for a weekend away in The Hague and surroundings. Scheveningen is around the corner, and you are also right next to the Haagse Bos. Hoppa, you can walk straight into the city or the green, or jump on one of the hotel's bikes and cycle towards the beach.

You're also in the right place for a business trip, because Mozaic has a nice (and spacious!) meeting room.

City villa Mozaic

This newly opened one is a real hit The Ald HotelPerfectly located in the city center (with a parking garage underneath the hotel, always a plus), in a beautiful, authentic building. You can check in at the reception desk or manually with the iPad (easy and efficient). Beautiful high ceilings, marble-look bathrooms, and a view from your room overlooking a quiet square. Oh, and did we mention the beds are fantastic? Absolutely wonderful.
