4 Nice hotspots at the Noorderplantsoen in Groningen
The program Noorderplantsoen in Groningen is surely one of our favorites . Wander around Noorderzon in the summer, roll out your picnic blanket, or just get a breath of fresh air. You will also find a number of nice ones around (and in) the Noorderplantsoen that are very worthwhile.
Mahalo
One of those cool ones is Mahalo, where you can go for breakfast and lunch, delicious cakes, or just a good coffee. It is a great place to relax both inside and outside on the terrace.
At Mahalo it's all about good and responsible food. All products are homemade, organic and completely plant-based.
Top tip: you can also order a picnic basket from Mahalo, which you can put together yourself. You can take this with you to the Noorderplantsoen to enjoy all the goodies that Mahalo has to offer.
Sunday
Maybe has Sunday the most beautiful spot in Groningen, namely in the middle of the Noorderplantsoen. Only a 5-minute walk from the city, yet there is a nice peace and quiet. A place where every day is a little bit like Sunday.
At Zondag you can have breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner and they have an excellent children's menu.
Bramble
On the edge of the Noorderplantsoen you will find: Bramble. At Bramble you're in the right place for a drink. Special beers, an extensive wine and cocktail list, an excellent selection of gin and tonics. Inside it is small, with a cozy 'living room atmosphere', but there is also a nice terrace outside where you can relax. Just take us here.
The Green Meadow
The Green Meadow is a cozy city café that dates back to 1652! Sounds corny? Nothing could be further from the truth! The café received a complete renovation at the beginning of 2022 make over. For this one make over they worked together with De Handelsfabriek from Tolbert, a specialist in vintage and industrial furnishings. The result was a cozy café, full of vintage and industrial finds with lots of greenery! At the Groene Weijde you can enjoy a nice drink and simple, but good food.
