It Flinkeboskje + Flinkefarm, Friesland Little Escapes
Owners Rixt and Arjan Siersma met in Curaçao, fell in love, got married and had three children, all on the island. They did not really need to return to the Netherlands. Until Rixt's sister sent her a link of a Frisian farm that was for sale. That was interesting and the kids went to school in the Netherlands, there was actually nothing wrong with that. One thing led to another, the farm was bought, they packed up and moved to the cold Netherlands, the farm was built with their own hands - beautiful! – was set up and there was no looking back. Today there are two holiday and event farms on their property. A discover-your-place in the best holiday way possible, in your own country. Peace, nature and beauty around you. What more could a person want?
Flinkefarm, where they live and where they run a vintage interior design shop and where parties are regularly held, and It Flinkeboskje, which houses two holiday homes. The Voorhuis is suitable for six people. There is a kitchen, a handsome living room and a library room on the ground floor. Upstairs are three bedrooms.

Larger families can stay in the Secret Annex. That's what you want, that you want to stay over, but also keep the Instagram van Flinkeboske in the spotlight: Rixt and her sister Claartje regularly organize the nicest and most tasteful events. Vintage and food markets, yoga and mindfulness courses and it is the place to remember for an unforgettable farm wedding in the fantastic barn, it is that beautiful.
The word tasteful applies throughout (and around) the entire property of the holiday farm. We think so, like many others, and so Rixt and Claartje decided to do something with it. A real pop-up store was created (here to stay, please) which reflects the taste of the smart minds. A handful of attention, a lot of love and also a bit of idiosyncrasy are put into their project. And that results in a fine example of a shop. It is possible to say. Vintage and retro trinkets make it a lot of beautiful things to browse through during your visit.
