Bienvenido, Bienvenido La Nena Home, Haarlem is one interior design store richer!
Picture this: walking through the streets of Haarlem in a, what makes 2021 so recognizable; empty shopping street (the Warmoesstraat to be exact) suddenly a Spanish dream opens its doors. Okay, it's certainly not a scenario that came out of the blue, a lot of thought went into it, but still: clever. And especially daring. Because we already saw that 'handsome' when it was still single window shopping was in the window of it yet to be opened and therefore mysterious the girl. But no longer! We found out who la nena is and why we can't wait to take a closer look. This is why:
Would you like to walk past a shop window as beautiful as La Nena's without even thinking about it? We don't believe anything. Because reason one, name a store that comes close in terms of looks? You won't find them easily (they are there, but can be counted on one hand) in the Dutch shopping street scene. Reason two: those lamps, that crockery and those vases (three reasons for the price of one). And finally: everything you see comes straight from the already impressive Galicia, Lugo. There, la nena emerges as a mini-chain, spread throughout Spain's own interior and a little further afield.
Now a return shopping trip to Gijon or Madrid (or Andorra) is not really optional, we simply book half an hour of la nena Haarlem. Also a nice city and within the borders. And with that we quickly come to the conclusion that la nena is not only an addition for Haarlem, but for the Netherlands. Of own eyes to see?
Really Spanish, then, is la nena. And they are -rightly- proud of that. In Lugo, the products are all handmade by local artists and the interior items do not leave the factory without a “Made in Spain” seal. From Galicia, the lamps, furniture, flower pots, candles, decorations (and much more) make their journey to the Netherlands, where we can take the special interior pieces with us to our own home. All the colors of the rainbow, but in Natural shades. From ocher to pebble-colored and from terracotta to deep gray.
How bad is la nena for the wallet? Good question, that could go either way. So take a look for yourself. Under the guise of supporting your local supplier and at the same time supporting your inner purchasing addiction.
