Eating at Nona in The Hague is table d'hôte at its best

There's nothing nicer than really good food, fresh ingredients and a very enthusiastic lady in the kitchen. You get it all when you book a spot at Nona in The Hague.

Julia lovingly runs a restaurant called Nona downstairs in her home. From Thursday to Sunday you can join us (by reservation) for a fantastic 4-course menu with delicaciese table d'hôte concept.

Nona

Nona

Let's start at the beginning. Julia (aka Nona) grew up in Italy and spent most of her summers on the amazing island of Sicily. Of course, she got the best of the island, including the kitchen.

No wonder the love she had for the kitchen resulted in serious craftsmanship; Cook your own Italian food with the best products. And that is why Julia provides an all-inclusive evening four evenings a week for guests who book in advance. All this on the Mauritskade in The Hague, below her home, where she has created a small restaurant on the ground floor.

You can make a reservation via Instagram or Nona's site. The nice but small shop fits about four people at the bar (a bit tight, though) and eight people at the tables. We are still waiting for a permit for two outdoor tables where you can enjoy the sun until late in the evening and have four courses served there.

When you settle down, the enjoyment can begin. You can indicate any wishes in advance, but other than that it is – enjoy and surprise.

You can taste Julia's love for fresh products in every course, fresh garden peas, delicious ricotta and last but not least; fantastic quality pasta. In addition to these nice extras, Julia's wine taste is also perfect. She is happy to advise you and pours her favorite wines with love.

Then you get an amazing dessert (Julia is very good at that from many sources) and a nice cup of fresh coffee. After dining it is.
