Discover hidden paths

Discover hidden paths

A very long time ago (in the seventeenth century), a whole network of church paths emerged in the Achterhoek. At that time, Catholicism was banned, but many Catholics still remained faithful to their faith. To avoid being caught, they visited secret churches and had to travel considerable distances to get to those churches. Over meadows, along ditches, over bridges and through forests. Nothing was too crazy. And so the 'hidden' paths were created. But the nice thing about this story is that many years later, local residents took the initiative to restore these paths into cycle paths, so that you can explore these church paths with your two-wheeler. There are ten cycling routes that lead you along one or more hidden places and paths. All you have to do is follow the numbered white-green signs. Oh, and with each route you get tips for nice restaurants along the way and you read more about the sights.

If you don't feel like the real bike ride on the paths and you want to stroll quietly, you can of course also go for a walk. No problem.
