The perfect glamping hideaway in France (Dordogne): Petite Vallée

Hello summer! Hello sun! Hello vacation! Oh, hello France, often for many people the logical consequence of all these 'hello's'. The latest discovery under the French sun, you ask? Hello French hideaway, Hi Petite Vallée! A really delicious one hideaway to completely relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. You understand: straight to France! See you soon!

Once upon a time..

Once upon a time..

The accommodation has a cozy name Petite Vallee wears, is run by the Dutch Hans and Yasmin. Petite Vallée is the result of their shared passion for food and sustainable agriculture. Petite Vallée therefore takes you into their lifestyle – pretty much what every (city) dweller has in mind, right?

You may be wondering how this lifestyle came about? Simple. The couple traveled in a while ago campervan and saw firsthand what the effect of the current food system is on the world and biodiversity. They felt they needed to gain more knowledge about how food can be grown in a sustainable way. No sooner said than done.

When they came across a super beautiful little valley in the heart of the 'fairytale' Perigord Noir surrounded by oak forests, winding rivers and incredible food, Petite Vallée was born. Plus points are that you can do and discover a lot in the small valley, while also experiencing a lot me time .

Petite Vallée consists of two charming stone houses scattered across the grounds. It is a real treat for the true adventurer, as you can also spend the night in one of the three safari tents while gazing at the starry sky. And let's not forget: there are also two amazing boutique camping spots to be found. How about lounging by the pool, taking a walk in the woods, or enjoying local and organic dishes? Products from the on-site garden are delivered twice a week for the menu. How fun!

In addition to gîtes and small-scale glamping in a dreamy valley, you can also expect the most amazing food. On Monday evenings, they organize a funky pizza night, where kids get to bake their own pizzas and adults are treated to innovative flavors on a wood-fired sourdough pizza. There is also a very cozy taco night once a week.

To make it truly French, there is a welcome quiche. You can eat there four times a week. The last option is a creative plant based 4-course menu from our own garden or from the garden of organic farmer neighbors, with matching (natural) wines.
