The nicest restaurants in the Kleine Berg in Eindhoven

The nicest shopping street in Eindhoven? Without a doubt the Kleine Berg. And where there are shops, people have to eat and drink. In addition to the boutique shops, it is by definition the zip code where we prefer to spend time on an average Friday evening in Eindhoven (see reasons mentioned earlier). So there. It is not without reason that De Bergen is called the Latin Quarter of Eindhoven. And where to go among all that fun? These are the nicest restaurants in the Kleine Berg in Eindhoven.

More Eindhoven? You can find that here!

Lucie Cocina

Lucie Cocina

Biggest favorite Lucie Cocina, a food bar with the tastiest Spanish dishes and wines. When you step inside Lucie Cocina, you imagine yourself in an authentic food bar in Spain, but just a little nicer and hipper. Just how we like it. You eat at long bars and can watch the chefs prepare different dishes. The menu is extremely wide: you will find traditional tapas such as Iberico ham, tortilla with aioli and veal meatballs in tomato sauce. But also seafood, salads, brioches (order the brioche with anchovies and smoked butter, you won't regret it), cold (starters) dishes and warm (main) dishes. The wine list is at least as extensive. The Spanish wines come from family houses that produce sustainably and ecologically in small quantities. The desserts are also nice, and for our favorite we deviate from the Spanish theme: macarons from the neighbors across the street. You can go to Lucie Cocina not only for a Spanish dinner, but also for breakfast and lunch. You can join us without making a reservation, but if you want to be assured of a spot, it is useful to do this in advance.

It's like sitting in a romantic garden in Puglia, as we can imagine when we enter the courtyard of Trattoria Mangiare walking in. Seven days a week they serve Vitello Tonnato, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with or without prawns and homemade Tiramisu. Everything made with pure, authentic products based on a typical Italian recipe. Want to unpack? Let the staff advise you on dishes and wines outside the menu.

The Lobster Bar

Accessible lobster eating, that's what you do The Lobster Bar. At the Lobster Bar they serve Lobster & Sushi specialties and Asian Tapas paired with wines or cocktails. The menu is a bit extensive, but the easiest option (and the most fun) is to choose the Lobster menu. For €42.50 per person your starter consists of Sushi, sashimi and tempura shrimp, your intermediate course of bisque and your main course of half a lobster (boiled, gratinated or thermidor) with salad and fries. For an extra €20, you can exchange half a lobster for a whole one.

The sushi boat is also delicious, because when you notice that even the ginger and wasabi are excellent, you know things are going well.

Automoto

Automoto

Okay, not quite on the Kleine Berg, but a little bit of smuggling is allowed, right? Otomoto on the Vrijstraat really couldn't be missed. Inspired by Japanese jazz cafés, everything here revolves around music, sound and good food. It is run by Bart and Sebas, two young guys who, in addition to natural wines, also have dumplings on the menu. Vinyl plays all day, and when the weather is nice, the street in front of the door is often pleasantly full.

Mood

Mood

In the backyard of the Kleine Berg you will find this sushi pearl: Mood by Eveline Wu. Here you are in the right place for both Asian and French dishes. The sushi is great, and the sushi boat is definitely recommended (tip: if you are not a big eater, order it for one person less, there is enough on it!). The atmosphere is relaxed and it is the perfect place to enjoy good food and a few drinks with friends, both inside and outside on the terrace.

Gerrie's sandwich

Gerrie's sandwich

Broodje Gerrie, the new spot for hearty sandwiches and a good cup of coffee, has recently opened on the Kleine Berg. It is the perfect place for a quick lunch or if you don't feel like cooking yourself, because you can now also get ready-made meals. The sandwiches are well-filled, so you certainly won't regret it. And the atmosphere? It is nice and relaxed.

Dutch Homemade

Dutch Homemade

On the Kleine Berg you will find IJssalon Dutch Homemade, the place where you can treat yourself to delicious macarons and ice cream. Tip: the mojito macaron is really recommended. You can not only get something tasty for yourself here, but also buy a box (however big you want) of macarons as a gift. And if you are walking through the city, this is the perfect place for a little stop to enjoy an ice cream or macaron.

Bonny's

Bonny's

Bonny's Sandwich Bar is located on the Kleine Berg in Eindhoven. Here you can get well-filled sandwiches and the coffee is always we point. Matcha lover? Then you've come to the right place, because they have a number of different matcha options on the menu, such as matcha tonic and juice de orange-matcha. The sandwiches are not the cheapest, but the fillings are fresh and of good quality. The terrace is also great, so we say go for it!

L'Avenue Vin & Cuisine

L'Avenue Vin & Cuisine

In the bend, there is something sympathetic L'Avenue Vin & Cuisine. That's what it sounds like: wine + cuisine. Okay. Those wines are all good anyway (no idea? Just tell them that, then text and explanation will follow), but then you just have to wait and see what the kitchen does... Ha! 10 points there too. Cheap? No. Not that. Tasty? Methinks! We talk for a long time about the sardines (not just from a can: no, delicious on toasted bread and dressed with a tomato and something tasty (forgot what again because hey, that Vin) and the oil in that well-known sardine can. on the side. And what else did we have? Oysters of course, and, and and and… Oh well, go for it yourself. Top evening assured. Provided that your dining companions are in just as good spirits as the rest of the street, of course.

Mathilde

Mathilde

When they have a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails and they are located in the Kleine Berg: then you know you're in the right place. To be honest, long tables, fancy dining and an overfull stomach are great, but sometimes not quite what we want after a long day. A small menu with mainly easy dishes, also for sharing and where it is very pleasant to sit, is more what we want. Bee Mathilde settle down for a well-stocked drinks board with your friends and family. Just like at the kitchen table, but completely taken care of by them.

Still craving a hearty bite? The burgers, flamkuchen and tacos are your answer. Mathilde is also a good place for lunch.

Coffee at LUCIFER COFFEE ROASTERS

Coffee at LUCIFER COFFEE ROASTERS

Lucifer Coffe Roasters has multiple locations where you can order coffee and the nice people will roast it for you. Shout-out to the shop on the Kleine Berg. There you have the coziness of the city, but you are not in the middle of the shopping crowd (after all, we want to avoid that stress). The other location can be found on the Kennedyplein

The coffee shop is simple, but with a nice decor and open every day.

Hey Days

Hey Days

HEY DAYS and HEY NIGHTS, that first one, that's where we start. At HEY DAYS you dive into Eastern cuisine. A cozy restaurant with a cozy courtyard. No one gets a plate for themselves alone, but the table is full of small dishes, as is often the case in the East. A sharing & dining tapas restaurant, but also a drinks café. Not a huge menu, but be surprised by the chef's menu.

Had dinner and happened to be on Friday evening or Saturday evening? Put on your dancing shoes, because HEY NIGHTS is all yours. The restaurant turns into a dance floor and that is for everyone who wants something different from Stratumseind.

Bellevue Brasserie

Bellevue Brasserie

You may know Foodbar Mr. Sister and that was okay but it really became fun when that place gave way to Bellevue Brasserie; a brasserie as it sounds. Actually, the main disadvantage is that the business is not in Paris, but other than that, a lot is going well. An informal French city brasserie they call it themselves, with Fruits De Mer, onion soup, Bouillabaisse and Croquettes de Crevettes on the small, excellent menu. Oh, and a very attractive wine list

Cocktails at Bobby's Bar

Cocktails at Bobby's Bar

Roll in at Bobby's Bar for an evening of sipping cocktails: be sure to ask about the gin of the month! Or better yet: reserve the tasting. The presentation is creative and the atmosphere cozy. Disadvantage? The cocktails are a bit pricey these days, but oh well... where they aren't.

Berlage Kitchen & Bar

Berlage Kitchen & Bar

To be fair, we have different opinions about the well-known Berlage. It looks nice, they keep up with the modern bites, but the staff is also a bit disinterested and the price quality of the shared dining Biting is not always good.

By the way, we are very pleased with the city garden at the back. And also with the highwine and lunch that they serve in the cozy garden. Sunshine on the streets? Off to Berlage's garden then.

Restaurant Wiesen

Restaurant Wiesen

Man oh man, there is a lot to do in the Kleine Berg in Eindhoven. Because yes, of course there is also a hell of a restaurant with a star (or should we say 'a mountain of a restaurant'?). Restaurant Wiesen is the name and Wiesen (we may say Wiesen) is one of those places where it's just great, without the threshold being too high. What's called: the terrace in front of the door beckons just as much as the rest of the street on the most beautiful days of the year. The menu is refined, the service is correct with a touch of Brabant coziness and the business is easy to get through.
