A meeting Around the Table, in the Westergas
The country's youngest pop-up restaurant Around The Table = three things and we'll name them right away: 1) Insanely good food, invented and manufactured by a number of men who you can safely call wizards in the kitchen. 2) Very (very) good wines - the kind you long for. 3) A particularly amazing location. In short: a typical case, be quick because you do NOT want to miss this pop-up restaurant in Amsterdam! On to the Gashouder (@ Westergas) where the largest one-and-a-half-meter restaurant in the Netherlands is temporarily open.
And then another big reason why you want to get a (round) table right away: all the way 31 August 2020 Every two weeks there is a different star chef in the (also round) kitchen of Rond De Tafel. Eric van Loo we kicked off the start and from that top chef we go to Richard van Oostenbrugge, Egon van Hoof, travels to Sunil Bahadoer, to conclude with Wilco Berends.
It will look like this: the Gashouder (that round industrial dome building) on the Westergas (we think it is the most beautiful site in Amsterdam) temporarily has a round kitchen in the middle. In that first ring are a handful of hard-working chefs. Literally and that's a nice sight. One circle outside are handsome (you get the point: round tables with empty wine glasses. And then you sit down and enjoy. Nothing more, nothing less. Okay, one more time because we are so enthusiastic: that enjoyment comes courtesy of an exclusive 5-course menu accompanied by top-level wines. That wine pairing was put together by Delta Wines, by the way, and the dinner is organized by the guys from Les Patron Cuininier. And He saw that it was good.
Are you completely fed up and can't wait to sit down at the table yourself? Reservations are still possible, but take the 'be there as soon as the chickens' a bit seriously because extra tables have already been added and extra days have been squeezed in. It goes that fast.
