The Jewish Sadelle's opened its doors on the edge of Soho in mid-2015 and before those doors were even open, there was already a small (proverbially) line in front of the door, so eagerly did New Yorkers want the bagels and pastry sweets from taste the new thing. Visit 1 was not very successful for the undersigned as the staff apparently got too excited. But hey, we're not the worst and we just gave it another try. Result? Fan. Big fat fan. Especially the bagel with salmon, but now also the (other) staff. It works like this: after a deliciously extended finger towards something that looked like a chocolate cake with dozens of different types of chocolate, we were promptly given a piece to take home (after the already pleasant morning). So for nothing. Not a small piece. As if they knew. Not that we are that venal now, not at all, but a little. So Sadelle's, just keep smiling and before you know it, the stiff Jewish New Yorkers will be your new best friends. Sadelle's
