The best beach ever... This is one of those tips that we actually didn't want to give because it's so good... Not because we don't like you, really, but because some places are so incredibly beautiful that the selfish part of our wunderlust is addressed, and that little voice shouts 'you're not going to tell anyone about this, then next year it will still be the same as it is now'. But of course that's not how we got married. Here it comes anyway. You can show off your bikini body in Australia on beaches like Bondi Beach and Manly, but if you need something more Adam & Eve Slash Robinson Crusoe then Shelley Beach your rock in the surf. Take the ferry to Manly Beach (this trip also gives you the best view of Sydney Harbor and is free on Sundays too) and instead of following the day trippers to Manly Beach, walk towards Shelley Beach. Just between Shelley Park and Cronulla Beach you will find one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in all of Australia. Park your van, bum or cycle and enjoy. You're welcome.
