The Sail Trip 2023 (July and August): sailing along the Croatian coast
Sun, sea, summer: three times a Z that we rely on all year round. In the summer, even more, especially if the destination is Croatia. The Sail Trip 2023 is on the schedule and that's all you want to get your dose of vitamin D the right way. With 4 to 10 people (can be booked from two people) you will sail along the Croatian coast in July and/or August with endless nature, beautiful beaches and dine in the most beautiful authentic villages. Let the boat sail, because the destination of The Sail Trip 2023 this year is Dalmatia, the southernmost region of Croatia on the Adriatic Sea.
First things first, because the southernmost region of Croatia certainly sounds sunny, but is there more to do? Yes. It is a beautiful area with many (too beautiful) islands, pearly white beaches and crystal clear water.
In that southern part you will find the port of Trogir and in July and August several sailing yachts are ready - for 4 to 10 people - for this exciting adventure. Really bonding, because together with your club you are a real team. You sail from island to island and anchor at the cutest bays.
There are six departure dates where you can get on the boat. The journey takes seven days and the exact route is determined at the last minute based on wind forecasts: anyone sailing has to listen to nature. Nature, because oh, it is rich in the Dalmatian archipelago. But also enjoy the authentic cities with hospitable people, cozy terraces and attractive restaurants. For example, visit the quiet and tranquil Stari Grad, the oldest town in Croatia with a history dating back 2400 years. Busy places such as Split and Hvar (the Saint-Tropez of Croatia) are also on the sailing routes.
And it wouldn't be a summer holiday if there weren't any parties planned. It is not a drinking holiday (or yes, it is of course what you make of it), but you can enjoy yourself both on board the yacht and in a bay or in one of the many (beach) clubs in Croatia.
The boats are made for 6, 8 or 10 people, and the trip can be booked for 2 people or more. Are you going solo? Then use the link-me-up WhatsApp group. Here you will meet other solo travelers with whom you can book together. We like it. And no, we understand that you do not yet speak sailing language (95% of the participants are not experienced sailors), so during the trip there will be a certified skipper on board, who will ensure that you always arrive safely at your destination. But you can also participate in short sailing training courses every day. Here you will learn everything about the wind directions, steering a sailboat or hoisting the sails.
