You can go parasailing, snowtubing, and ziplining via Bee FlyingYou can also go on beautiful hikes there. The center is also bursting with cozy wine bars and après-ski clubs.

Having lunch

Having lunch

Okay, time for lunch. Important fuel while skiing. We did this at Caron 3200 en Chalet des 2 Lacs. Very different, both really cool. The Caron 3200 building has just opened, and you get here via the Cime de Caron. It is one of the highest spots in Val Thorens, with views over more than 1000 mountain peaks. You can eat inside or outside here with a view that you could seriously pull straight from a laptop screensaver. Occasionally there is a DJ, and then the dancing begins at 3200 meters high. There is also a very fancy wine bar, where they have a large wine selection and even serve their own wine. And shhh, there is a meeting room you can rent. Just try to concentrate! Then there is Chalet des 2 Lacs. Here you can order classic mountain dishes—1, 2, 3, cheese fondue please! The warm apple tarte tatin is also highly recommended.

Dinner? Also very important! We ourselves ate at Alpen Art en The Maison. Also very different again, and that is precisely what makes it such a nice change of pace. Alpen Art is a slightly chic version of a mountain hut with a touch of kitsch. garlicThey are very good at preparing meat, and we definitely recommend the veal for 2. The owner is super nice and walks around for a friendly chat. Then La Maison. What a fantastic place. This one definitely needs to be on your list. It really feels like a night out; you can even wear your nicest outfit here if you brought one. Not required, of course. A big tip here is the truffle cheese fondue, but the pizzas are great too, and the duck breast was a winner as well. For dessert, we had a pistachio sundaeRolling home.
