Vincenzo's The Hague
There is no day that is not good for pizza. In The Hague there is really only one good answer to that Italian trait: Vincenzos. Look for a thyme-colored facade and be lured in by the smell of herbs and spicy salami.
In the Prins Hendrikstraat in The Hague – the Zeeheldenkwartier again indeed – there is a boom Vincenzos immediately stands out thanks to the mint green facade. Beautiful and fun anyway, all that mint green, but even more beautiful and fun is what lies behind that facade: a very nice pizzeria. So Vincenzos. In The Hague, already a favorite.
Two tables and a giant oven upon entry; it may be quite noticeable that pizza is being baked. Behind that giant oven: a nice space with even more greenery. A place to dine and a small garden with a cozy string of lights.
Back to those pizzas, that's what we came for. They are crispy. Extra crispy. The dough is deliberately raised with an edge so that it catches a little more heat and comes out of the oven as crispy as possible. The parma ham pizza with truffle oil (spread generously) is an absolute must. In addition, the snack board is also more than fine. And the service. That's cozy. Also nice about a tent like Vincenzo's: it is actually there for every day. Tasty, affordable, cozy and with a bit of luck just around the corner. Or else you just go around the block in The Hague.
