5x stores you want to go to Vienna for right now

Shopping in Vienna is just so delicious. And we wrote it before: you go to Vienna for Christmas markets, for... cocktails and for the nice hotels. But from now on you also go there for the shops. Because Vienna is teeming with fine shops. And that's almost a tongue twister.

Vienna, like Paris, is made up of different arrondissements. There are quite a few, and exploring every neighborhood and mastering the entire structure in a (short) weekend is difficult. Just remember there are three must see districts are:

The first arrondissement, which consists of Tuchlauben, Kärntnertorstraße, Kohlmarkt, Graben, Stephansplatz and Wollzeile. This is the city center and is – of course – impossible to miss.

The sixth (and seventh arrondissement) around Neubaugasse and Burggasse, where you will find the youngest restaurants, vintage shops and more good entertainment.

And then there's it seventh district, better known as the Museum Quarter. The name says it all: many museums, but also a hip atmosphere with lots of street art and the nicest bars.

But we talked about shops in the intro, not about neighborhoods. So we would like to highlight three stores for you, because they are worth it.

That brings us to the sixth arrondissement, where the Neubaugasse and Burggasse steal the show. These fairly long streets can be compared to the Nine Streets in Amsterdam: you will find a mix of small boutiques, concept stores and vintage shops.

It is number one Burggasse 24, an vintage clothing store annex an equally vintage coffee house. When you think of 'vintage coffee house' you may think of old Persian carpets, worn school chairs, velvet armchairs, antique lamps, propellers and plants on the ceiling and black and white photos on the wall. If you walk past the seating area, you arrive at the shop. It looks a lot sleeker, partly because all the vintage pearls hang neatly by color. From crazy accessories to coats and dresses, it is a great place to be. Whether you drink coffee or not.

Kitsch Bitch Vienna

Kitsch Bitch Vienna

Located around the corner at Burggasse 24 Kitsch Bitch, on Neubaugasse. It falls between the small, cluttered boutiques and the larger stores this store thanks to its sleek, trendy interior. Kitsch Bitch is what you call a real concept store. In addition to trendy streetwear, they also sell vintage clothing, jewelry, bags and other accessories.

Soda! In the nicest street in Vienna you will find Soda, a beautiful store with Viennese designer lingerie. Sustainably produced and all true pictures: minimalist and chic. In addition to lingerie, you will also find the most beautiful swimwear. Worth a visit.

A bit more expensive than Burggasse24 and Kitsch Bitsch and definitely not vintage. But yes one of a kind items that you will not easily find in the Netherlands.
