Archive Store Amsterdam
Since 2018, the Archive Store has also found its way to Amsterdam and we are still there over the moon by. If you don't know Archive Store yet - a shame anyway, parents or not: Archive Store is one of the few, perhaps the only complete one pinterestproofstore of the country. The kind of store where you can find all that beautiful, soft, durable stuff for your little one online saw passing by and - damn - mostly alone online (and internationally). Moreover, Archive Store is the Dutch purveyor of it Italian Number 74 that the most beautiful - serious crush here - makes curtains/sleeping bags/everything from fabric. See for yourself but!
It may sound a bit exaggerated, but it is a fact: the Netherlands is scarce in terms of physical stores with these types of the most beautiful (sustainable) brands. That is perhaps not surprising: it is a niche of course, that children's stuff and, admittedly, not everyone can or wants to spend the euros they have collected on the children's room. We get it. And the ladies, Anna and Martine, behind Achive Store understand that too, which is why they make a beautiful – no: beautiful – selection with affordable (maternity gifts galore!) and more expensive items. The focus is on the nursery and the child's body (Archive Store also has wonderful products for the bathroom and a small but nice selection of clothes) and much of all that beauty does not look out of place in the living room or anywhere else in the house (curtains! rugs! lamps!).
Actually, there was always only one problem: why is that store so goddamn small? Because if you look at the Archive Store site, you will see that the range is much larger (Anna and Martine ship everything and worldwide, also good to know) than what you can feel and sniff in the store. Fortunately, they also think that is a shame and so they looked for, and found, a suitable space. And there it is!
Around the corner of Utrechtsestraat, on the edge of the Pijp and the city center, the Archive Store party of no less than 200 square meters starts! Design stuff for the mini (and for yourself) gone good.
