Bart? Who is Bart, then? Well, that is Maartje. A nickname from her childhood, nothing more and nothing less. Or well: Bart’s Little Book does sound pretty good, of course. And that is how Bart’s Little Book started too: as a hobby. Countless scrapbooks, torn-out notes, and annotations. When those went digital, Bart’s Little Book was initially intended only as a search engine for friends and acquaintances. And that was fourteen years ago already. And fortunately, Maartje is no longer the only Bart! Oh no, we have since gathered a large football team of Bartjes, some of whom are in action below. Bart’s Little Book might be her first 'child,' but she has two more: Vito and Elvis. There is also a man: Dirk. And a dog: Willem. That dream came true: she has lived there for the past 2,5 years in beautiful Bali! She traded Bali for Lisbon, where she now lives. And yes, you can bet she's already tried every restaurant. Before this, she worked as a creative jack-of-all-trades at an Amsterdam clothing brand; from setting up fun collaborations to developing (photoshoot) concepts. Been there, done that! At Barts Boekje, everything comes together, and she arranges all of the above and everything in between. Originally a true Arnhem girl, but for well over ten years now a proud (imported) Amsterdammer. What can you wake her up for in the middle of the night? One of a kind interior pieces, a French flea market, and a cuddle from her Cocker Spaniel, Moes. Oh, and a hug from her boyfriend, preferably in a far-off, sunny spot, is never turned down either.

A born and bred Amsterdammer who can never get enough of the city. She loves wandering around for hours, soaking up all the hustle and bustle and conviviality. She's always discovering new places to eat and drink; if drinking wine and dining out counts as a hobby, then that's definitely her favorite. She loves to go out, because anyone who knows her knows she hates to sit still and loves being around people. True to her motto: the more, the merrier, as they say. She never turns down a party or an invitation for a good dinner. Besides her beloved Amsterdam, she also enjoys exploring other countries and cities. In recent years, she's had various adventures abroad: from touring Australia in a campervan, learning to kitesurf in Brazil, to backpacking. For the past few years, she's worked as a socio-cultural entrepreneur, and now she's back at the old and familiar Barts Boekje nest!

After a few years away, she's back at Barts Boekje, and it feels like coming home. Her true love? Everything food-related: from cooking to eating, whether at home or at the finest restaurants, preferably with a good glass of wine. A rich, buttery, oak-aged Chardonnay or a full-bodied, powerful Barolo (modest...).

She can talk endlessly about food, and for Barts Boekje she translates that into stories. Besides writing, photography is her biggest hobby, because what's a story without a beautiful picture? Bloeme lives in Amsterdam with her boyfriend Fer and dog Snuf, but she enjoys taking trips to the country side, completely in matching tenuous of course: Barbour, Dubarrys, large cable knit sweater, the worksWhat does she share about? 'Our' Michel and Renske prove time and time again that a 'team effort' is always a good idea. He takes the most beautiful photos, she has an unprecedented nose for the nicest addresses. Apparently tirelessly they cross city and country. Not for us, no: they mainly check those addresses for themselves and their two toddlers, Sef from 6 and Flo from 3. Barts Boekje is especially happy to be able to benefit from this. Shari is the founder of the booking platform Plinius Homes and loves everything 'la Dolce Vita'. Meet Lies, our Belgian ambassador! Originally from Leuven, she now lives in Antwerp with her boyfriend and dog Marcel. Ghent was also her home base for four years. A pure-bred 'I'm leaving' story gone good? That is Janneke's story. Not so long ago she packed her bags to leave for Mallorca for a life in a bikini. Well, for good... It could be that she and her boyfriend Gregor will be hanging out somewhere else in a year's time - the advantage when a sailing ship is largely your home. What is permanent is that she hung up her fashion past and entered the wine business.
