Holiday Home in The Netherlands

Coco's Country House, Nunspeet

Surrounded by forests and the outdoors, yet with a modern and explosive color interior, this is the perfect combination of nature and design. In this boutique tiny house, nature, design, and the good life come together effortlessly.

A luxurious boutique hotel vibe, but all for you alone? That is Coco's Country House at Bospark de Vossenberg in Nunspeet. Coco? Who is Coco? Coco is a city girl who occasionally wants to recharge in nature with a well-filled glass of wine. And honestly: who wouldn't? In nature, close to the Veluwemeer and the Zandenplas, you can do that recharging in this stunning tiny house. Surrounded by woods and the outdoors, but with a modern and color-explosive interior, this is the right combination of nature and design. From almost every corner, you have a view of the garden and your own terrace where you can barbecue to your heart's content (Weber BBQ), have drinks at the large garden table, spot squirrels in the squirrel hotel (yes, really, it's there too), or simply read a book in the hammock or in the lounge set.

You can park right outside the door (very handy if you also want to spend a day at the Veluwemeer and need to bring all your swimwear), but Coco's Buitenhuisje is also easily accessible by public transport. There is plenty to do at the Bospark itself as well: a game of table tennis, an afternoon of pétanque? Prefer go-karting or hitting a ball on the tennis court? You can walk there in no time in your flip-flops.

Location, location, location

Holiday homes in the Veluwe: always fantastic! We have collected a number of them, and Coco's Buitenhuisje is no exception; it offers everything that makes a holiday just right. Vast heathlands, forests with ancient trees and picnic benches for lunch, as well as plenty of water activities. The cottage is situated on the small-scale Bospark De Vossenberg, where it is quiet, green, and welcoming. You can play padel or book personal training at the park. Nature abounds, but charming Hanseatic towns like Elburg and Harderwijk are also very close by.

Lake Veluwe is nearby (a ten-minute drive), but you can walk to De Zandenplas (with green pine trees – which always smell so good): complete with a fine sandy beach and a matching pavilion. There is plenty of walking, cycling, and swimming to do, and plenty of opportunities to go on an adventure in the surrounding area in one of those ways. Strand Horst, one of the best surfing locations in the Netherlands, is less than a fifteen-minute drive away, and should you prefer a more Burgundian holiday, you can take a seat on one of the terraces in Elburg or Harderwijk (for example at city beach Valhalla).

The eye wants something too

Where should we begin? With the purple checkered wallpaper by Arte? Or the handsome wooden surround of the radiator? Perhaps start with the showstopper: a burgundy bookcase filled with beautiful figurines, retro champagne glasses, games, and plants? There is also a Marshall speaker, and you can make cappuccino in your own espresso corner. Oh, and certainly don't skip the brown sofa with its gorgeous cushions that you'll never want to get off. Or perhaps start with the garden, featuring a large garden table surrounded by greenery? Or the (surprisingly spacious) bathroom with a rain shower and art even there? The interior is inspired by the colors of the Veluwe in autumn and filled with art and design. Tiny really doesn't mean you can't play with color, as we see here once again. Lots of color and snazzy details, a custom-made burgundy bed, gold tiles in the kitchen, and nothing is ever too small for art on the wall. You'll find works by Erwin Olaf, Marcel Luit, Hendrik Kerstens, and Ruud van Empel, to name just a few. Then we conclude with props for the giant ice cream on the wall and the oh-so-cozy, colorful tableware. The kind of tableware that invites you to dine for hours and enjoy your company.

Keffers & Kroost

Dogs stay at home, but the children can come along! The spot is ideal for two adults, but a little one up to two years old can easily join. A bassinet and high chair are available for the little ones.
