Resort in Bonaire

Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort, Bonaire

The great thing about this place is that you have everything there: from the diving school, car rental, bicycle rental, a nice restaurant - sorry, three nice restaurants - a mega swimming pool, the beach, a bar, oh, and of course not to forget your sleeping place at the always sunny Bonaire.

Imagine: palm trees that gently sway in the warm breeze, cute colorful houses, and beautiful blue water with an impressive underwater world. Go, pack your suitcase: swimwear, sunglasses and sunscreen – you don't need much else. On to Bonaire, Curaçao's brother. About a 10 hour flight and you're there.

You will find it on Bonaire Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort. The great thing about this place is that you have everything there: from the diving school, car rental, bicycle rental, a nice restaurant - sorry, three nice restaurants - a mega swimming pool, the beach, a bar, oh, and of course not to forget your place to sleep. Sounds big? It is, but that's the nice thing about it. Especially with the kids, but also if you go on a holiday where ultimate relaxation is the goal. The convenience is good at Chogogo. Plus, that's what the Caribbean lifestyle is all about. Speaking of which: due to a lack of local museums, the resort provides free lectures on Bonaire's cultural history. Ten points for Chogogo!

Location, location, location

Right on the beach: that's what you want. And not just any beach, but your own beach. Heck yes. Chogogo is located on the edge of Kralendijk, the capital of the island, and with a short walk you are in the middle of all the goings on.

Bonaire is the place-to-be for adventurers, especially the underwater child. Nearby you can take a guided snorkeling tour through caves, in the dark! Not much of a daredevil? Then find a spot on the quiet south coast to relax together by the sea under the Bonairean sun.

Food & Drinks

Grab a seat at one of Chogogo's three restaurants: Biña, Bari or Sunset. Fine Dining Restaurant Bina is located right on the beach and has very nice wine arrangements, Bari the resort's beach bar is perfect for a good cocktail. Bee Restaurant Sunset the BBQ is on every Friday - quite an atmosphere!

Do you want to deviate a little further? Dan are the restaurants CHEFS (fine dining) and Number Ten (good coffee, and a nice lunch spot) good options. The Daily Catch is also recommended: a fish shop with a top take-out menu. Poh fresh sushi and poke bowls straight from the sea. What more could you want?

Rooms

The resort offers four types of accommodation: the apartment, the studio standard, the studio deluxe and the villa. What makes each option unique? The studio standard has, as the name suggests, all the basic amenities: a double bed, a kitchenette with two induction plates, a SMEG refrigerator, a Nespresso machine, a kettle and a toaster. This room is compact, so also a bit cheaper. Ideal for when you're out and about all day. The studio deluxe is more spacious and both types of studios have their own balcony or terrace. Perfect for a breakfast in the morning or to end the day with a drink during the sunset.

The apartment the studio standard and deluxe are together: perfect if you are going on a double date holiday, or of course with the kids. And then of course of the villa. This is the largest accommodation of all, of which there are only three. So you like this: book now! Not convinced yet? The villa has an open kitchen with large induction hobs and a dishwasher - yes please. In addition, it has all the facilities that you will find in the studios. Three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with two single beds, plus three bathrooms. No arguing about who gets to shower now. There is also a lovely outdoor area with lots of shade. Not unimportant: all accommodations have WiFi, air conditioning and a safe.

The eye wants something too

To be honest: we could sleep here in a hut on the beach, because Bonaire is so beautiful with an exclamation point. Fortunately, that is not necessary. The accommodations are colored pink, inspired by the Caribbean flamingo that you can spot in several places on the island. The decor is light with wood, a bright color of a towel here and there, and of course not to be missed: a SMEG refrigerator in a striking color. Just not too much fuss!

Chogogo has thought carefully about all the facilities in the resort. The rooms have exactly what you need. In addition, there are several places outside for water sports enthusiasts where you can rinse your (diving) wetsuit or simply rinse your feet, so that you leave all the sand outside your sleeping place. Smart, huh?

Keffers and Kroost

Kids and assistance dogs are welcome. For those who really miss their four-legged friend who stays at home, Chogogo has a hotel dog Nala – how nice!
