Mooibaai is located in one of the most beautiful places on earth: the green Hout Bay in the Cape Peninsula. At the cradle of the Bed and Breakfast stands the Belgian Valérie. She fell in love with the place, in the middle of nature and at the same time close to good restaurants, an amazing beach and spectacular Cape Town. Valérie changed course 'I'm leaving' style, opened Mooibaai and still enjoys this step every day. Her love for Hout Bay is also contagious; after this you will feel it spark for sure too.

Mooibaai is located in a former farm in Cape Dutch style and is surrounded by mountains. The five cottages all have their own terrace, offering panoramic views. Book, glass of wine: we already said this is how you imagined it. And we haven't even mentioned the swimming pool that you can dive into from your terrace. Or about the excellent breakfast with homemade fresh bread. We completely understand Valérie.

Location, location, location

When you check in, you only go outside for Llandundo Beach. Okay ahead: Cape Town, Cape Point, Stellenbosch and Hermanus are just a stone's throw away and beckoning. Closer to 'home' is World of Birds, right in the backyard of Mooibaai. There's a good chance an exotic bird will land on your porch.

The eye wants something too

The five cottages are spacious and light on the inside, stripped of unnecessary frills – stylish sobriety. Each house has a spacious walk-in shower and a private terrace with seating, from where you can make a splash in the pool. There is also a super cozy common room where you can cook something or where you can light a fire on the colder days. Everything is equally beautiful, but the real winner of the beauty contest is the immediate vicinity of Mooibaai. Those mountains, the trees, the flowers: nothing can beat it.

Keffers & Kroost

Although you may not immediately expect it, Mooibaai is incredibly kid-proof. If you're with a newborn travelling, you will find a baby cot spread out upon arrival. The older ones snuggle up on the wide sofa bed. You leave your pets at home, but there is plenty of wildlife in South Africa.
