Here at Bart HQ we have a renewed love for Barcelona after two visits, and it is hard to stop typing about the Spanish city. And what would it be, as long as there is something to tip, we will keep typing. This also applies to the relatively unknown Spanish guest house Casa Mathilda. A shame, because Mathilda's beautiful house deserves a sun.

The brilliant little B&B (although... Casa Mathilda is more of a small and clique boutique hotel) is about a 20 minute walk from the historic centre of Barcelona. Sound long, is a party of evenings.
Owner Assumpta Baldó opened her 14-room hotel on the first floor of a typical Catalan building from the XNUMXs. The interior is contemporary with lots of green, white and light grey, just right, and the rooms are just right too: not big but spacious enough and comfortable. The highlight is the sunny lounge where breakfast is served and that borders the terrace. But... Let's go back a bit. Did you say Assumpta Baldó? And who is Mathilda then? Her mother. Casa Mathilda
