Every season is wedding season

Getting married in autumn or winter? We, from Myrthe will arrange it, requests for autumn and winter weddings are becoming increasingly popular. And to be honest... we get it! The first look under a beautiful autumn tree is quite magical... And not only are these seasons incredibly intimate and atmospheric, they also have a lot of organizational advantages! (extra bonus: no weather stress! Because you are already assuming a worthless scenario)

Let us first list the (organizational) benefits for you: 

During the autumn months you don't have to take weather conditions into account or make last-minute backup plans because it's raining because you probably organize everything indoors. Ha! Maybe you even make it so easy for yourself and guests that you keep everything limited to one location. HeeeeePretty clear, right? 

As we said, during these months you can use the autumn colors or winter festive lighting to add even more romance to your wedding & photos (in that order: please don't let your day be dominated by the wish for the Perfect Picture). . Not only the lighting in trees and streets can be useful: the natural light is also softer, so your photographer has less to take into account shadows that can have an unfavorable effect (we all have an ugly selfie in bright light).

Let's be honest: besides wedding dresses, most of our pinterest pins consist of pictures of dream locations, right? Long laid tables and flower arrangements. Yep.

To mention another (huge) advantage of getting married in the fall or winter is that you can be original in the decoration. Think of warm and natural tones, combined with draped fabrics and countless candles and lights that look much better because of the early evening. Fire pits where guests can recover from dancing or enjoy whiskey and cigars… sounds good right?

You can create a very beautiful and cozy atmosphere, where you can go completely crazy with the styling! With you personal touches guests will feel really warm and welcome! And let's be honest: it is slightly different from an abundance of flowers and ribbons that you usually encounter at a summer wedding.

Are you afraid that Uncle Jan will come in wearing a casual checked shirt where he has only exchanged his loafers for a leather shoe? Or that your sister-in-law appears in a light color? Well not in winter! Then people are more likely to dress darker and less casual. This will look great on the photos without having to impose an impossible dress code on your guests. And do you still want to ask them to adhere to a dress code? (that's right, your day!) Then we advise you to look for some pictures of a dark brown dress code... Or black of course, if you want to ignore the old rule that 2 colors are not done at a wedding (black - that is for funerals, and white – that's for the bride). Super chic!

We see months like November or February as months that are perfect for a good party! These are months in which you can really surprise guests with a bright spot in dark days. In addition, it cares for your guests, but also for you you some more air during the busy summer wedding season, so you avoid that 'yet another party' feeling.

Óf maybe on a date when everyone is free! How nice is it to celebrate your wedding on New Year's Day? Forever a nice memory of old/new, cheers to the new year!
