Foodie workshops for kids: Avocado kids Ibiza

We understand very well that when you are on holiday, it is nice to park the offspring somewhere every now and then so that you can enjoy your well-deserved rest undisturbed. So are the nannies with their coloring pages and face paint - which you often get for free in the summer months in the fancy (Dutch) beach clubs - our greatest heroes. A brilliant concept as far as we are concerned that they can benefit from in many other (holiday) countries.

If you as we speak with the family If you are on the white paradise called Ibiza, then we have the ultimate tip in this context. Avocado Kids is where you need to be this summer. You don't have to go to a fancy beach club for this, but to Santa Eularia. Because here they organize events on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the summer months foodies workshops for children between 4 and 12 years old.

They spend the entire morning here working on everything that has to do with food and cooking. In a playful way, the kids learn new kitchen skills that are then used to make a dish. They talk about where the food comes from, they go into the vegetable garden together and tips are given for growing at home. They learn how to use kitchen tools and funny workshops are organised, including blindfolded taste tests. At the end of the morning, the prepared meal is of course enjoyed together.

If you prefer private lessons at home, that is also possible, Avocado Kids also offers sessions at home. For these workshops they naturally bring everything they need for the session.

Avocado Kids has come up with another great concept for after the summer: their monthly home-delivery (in Ibiza) box will be launched from September. These edible education boxes should bring you and your children together, both in the kitchen and around the table. Every month with a different theme and full of fun cooking tips and tricks. Each box contains 4 different recipe cards, which will eventually form a recipe book. The box can be ordered monthly, but also once, so remember it, in case there are a few rainy days during your autumn (or soon spring) holiday.

For those who are unable to make a trip to the island for the time being, you can always follow the weekly online zoom cook-along live sessions. Consider, for example, the breakfast special on Sunday morning, where your kiddos learn to bake the ultimate banana pancakes themselves! We say breakfast in bed it is.
