Designhotel G-Rough is your luxury base in Rome

A bit of a museum, a bit of a hotel and a lot like it should be at home, that's it G-Rough Hotel in the heart of Rome. Although it is a cringe-inducing term (admit it), we cannot ignore the term 'raw luxury': the hotel is located in a sixteenth-century, five-storey building in the heart of the city and the authentic features have been preserved where possible.

Think wooden ceilings, thick walls and peeling wallpaper, walls of broken concrete with colorful designer furniture in front of them. Each suite has a giant bed and a view of the courtyard or the center, although the Pasquino penthouse with private terrace, claw-foot bathtub and view of the Sant'Agnese tower, is a dream. If Mad Men had been filmed in Italy, this is what it would have looked like. Oh, the concierge is called lifestyle manager here, just saying.
