Here they are: the very best and oh so delicious wines under ten euros!

Vive la vin! And especially the affordable versions. Good thinking to take a quick look here: two important reasons to save this list.

1) Wine is nice.

2) Good wine for a small price is even better. We like to do that, this list, because it is certainly not a punishment, that preview... Finally Long story short: these are (in our opinion) unmissable wines, red and white varieties, which never exceed €10 and are oh so tasty.

Side note, we say it for the sake of saying: here at Barts Boekje we are anything but wine connoisseurs. But great lover? Fill it in yourself. Enjoy! Then we continue collecting to our heart's content.

Inycon Organic Grillo

Inycon Organic Grillo

Let's start with a top wine. And for lovers of Sicily, the name Inycon may sound familiar. It is also the name of the wine festival that is held on the beach every year for an entire day in honor of the new harvest. So we think it would be great to be there. This straw-yellow wine has a good taste balance between ripe tropical fruit and pleasant acids. Think of the taste of pear, apple and citrus. A nice fresh and soft wine as an aperitif on a summer evening or with a salad, pasta or fried fish.

Radacini Vintage Chardonnay 2018

Radacini Vintage Chardonnay 2018

Good news for fans of full-bodied, buttery, oak-barrel-aged chardonnays from California: you can save food miles! Moldova is namely upcoming As a wine country and winery, Radacini has succeeded in producing a chardonnay that is on par with a French or Californian one. And that for a bargain price. The Radacini vineyards are located in the Codru region, in the middle of Moldova and at the same latitude as those of Bordeaux, where there is an ideal wine climate. Okay, the wine cannot be compared to a Bernardus or a Kendall Jackson (well-known chardonnays from California), but hey, which are also 3 times as expensive. For less than 7 euros you can already have this Radacini Vintage Chardonnay at home and enjoy the subtle flavors of wood (12 months), apricot and peach, vanilla and light butter notes. Cheers in Moldova!

La Palma Chardonnay

La Palma Chardonnay

This Chilean chardonnay has been partially matured in wood. 35% of this wine has matured for four to six months in French oak barrels. This gives the wine a hint of vanilla, delicious. You also taste notes of pineapple, pear, apple, apricot and peach. This wine is one good to go with fish dishes or with a toast with crab salad, scallops and the like.

Trapiche Pinot Grigio from 2019

Trapiche Pinot Grigio from 2019

A Pinot Grigio is always good, right? This has notes of pear and apple with fresh and light notes. Nothing crazy, just good. Nice to know: Trapiche was the first winery to produce wine on the East Coast of Argentina. This Pinot Grigio comes from the Argentinian Maipú, a suburb of the large city of Mendoza and here you will find the state of the art winery Trapiche. This company has already been appointed twice Argentinian Wine Producer of the YearWell, that's of course not without reason.

Prefer a Chardonnay? Trapiche also has that: the Trapiche Reserve Chardonnay with notes of tropical fruit, butter and vanilla.

Gamay Mommessin Beaujolais Villages 2018

Gamay Mommessin Beaujolais Villages 2018

Gamay Mommessin Beaujolais Villages 2018. We can be brief about it, just really tasty. For those interested among us, here it comes: this red wine is super juicy and made from hand-picked gamay grapes. To get as much fruitiness as possible in the wine, the wine is made according to the 'semi maceration carbonique' method, in which whole grapes are fermented in a carbon dioxide-rich environment. You get the point? The wine has round and soft tannins.

What you can enjoy with this one wine? You can read that here.

Blauer Zweigelt & Gewütztraminer

Blauer Zweigelt & Gewütztraminer

Domaine Wachau Blauer Zweigelt 2018 The main grapes of the Wachau are Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. But fortunately, red wine is also made. Such as Austria's most famous grape: Zweigelt it is. The grapes come from the Wachau, but are planted on steep terraces on the banks of the Danube. In the Blauer Zweigelt grape you taste strawberries, blueberries, cherries, spiciness and freshly ground black pepper. The wine is nice and juicy with a fresh acidity and supple tannins.

The Lavis Classici Gewürztraminer 2019. Once you have drunk gewürztraminer, which we regularly do at Bart's, you will always recognize the wine. The scent blasts out of the glass. Perfumed but not too, which we like. With notes of lychee, roses, herbs and spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Can be combined well with a spicy dish for a nice balance.

Bachero Pontemagno - Verdicchio

Bachero Pontemagno - Verdicchio

Ah, an Italian white from le marche. Very nice fact, but what really matters is whether we like it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, we think (a little too much). A wonderfully fresh, but not too heavy, fruity but not sweet, dry wine. One of those that always surprises us that we get it for less than a donnie. Whoops, this is done frequently. You order it here, and then you have a lot of wine for a very reasonable price.

Domaine du Tariquet Gascogne

Domaine du Tariquet Gascogne

Actually everything from the French winery under the family name Domaine du Tariquet is recommended. But our personal favorite, the one that stands head and shoulders above the rest is Gascony. And may this one also be one of the cheapest of the bunch (ha, that doesn't happen often). It's not easy to come across such a delicious wine for less than €6 per bottle! A delicious, dry and fruity white wine, and a pleasure to drink. The reason why we like to keep it cold is precautions. A delicious bottle that you can make everyone happy with.

Claire Patelin - Sauvignon Blanc

Claire Patelin - Sauvignon Blanc

look, as one may know, we love a drink here at Barts Boekje. A good drink with all the trimmings. Cheese, sausage, nuts and (not to be missed) a good bottle on the side. Or, on the contrary, such a delicious one that the wine becomes the spectacle of the drinks. You can't go wrong with this sauvignon blanc. A soft drink, a sour, ahh can we already? Can we open a bottle yet? You can easily catch up with your big blue friends of App.

Chispas Bodegas Aragonesas - Chardonnay, Macabeo

Chispas Bodegas Aragonesas - Chardonnay, Macabeo

They have a delicious red, their pink also does well, but we always choose the white variant. An interesting bottle with an even more interesting content. This Spanish wine is tropical and wonderfully juicy. All the way in the north of Spain, just below the Navarre region, you will find the origin of the thirst quencher. Fortunately, you don't have to book a return ticket to Spain to get the wine. You can order them online with the greatest of ease.

Cono Sur Bicicleta - Merlot

Cono Sur Bicicleta - Merlot

Easy to drink this one, oops! This does mean that we like it and that we don't have to feel guilty about purchasing the bottles. It can be found on the shelves of Albert Heijn for six euros, which is, as they say, 'a bargain'. Just for all easy wine moments, you don't even necessarily have to have something to eat with it (although that is of course tasty). Really, really, really tasty for a reasonable price. Just at the local supermarket.

Valpolicella - Ripasso

Valpolicella - Ripasso

If you are looking for a slightly heavier red wine, a Ripasso is a delicious (and especially cheaper, why do we do it anyway) alternative to the Amarone. This is due to the production process of the wine, which is known for the fact that the grapes are fermented twice (instead of once). Then you get a rich, full and therefore slightly heavier red. A bottle to enjoy all evening long.

Arrogant Frog Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Les Calades

Arrogant Frog Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Les Calades

French arrogant? Some of them also have a sense of self-mockery, like winemaker Jean-Claude Mas. He came up with the name Arrogant Frog; a nice reference to how others look at the French. And he can make wine too, that Jean-Claude. This Arrogant Frog is a more than fine wine. Nice and powerful, without immediately knocking you over. Soft and spicy with cherries, berries and vanilla. Also nicely priced, for eight bucks you can have a bottle in the house. But hey, what's stopping you from buying a whole lot right away.

Piccini Memoro Rosso

Piccini Memoro Rosso

They had us at fruity, juicy and red cherry. A delicious and special Italian wine. Cheese with it or even better a nice pate and enjoy. And all that for a very small price. Delicious!

Real HEMA

Real HEMA

HEMA strikes again! They have dusted off the wine range and expanded it with brand new toppers. We were allowed to taste them and that was a party. Our favorites?

Dream of a Lady Chardonnay

Where we are less inclined to reach for a Chardonnay, this was perhaps the surprise of the evening. Very accessible with flavors of ripe apple and a creamy hint of butter (really a hint, because TOO buttery, we are really not a fan of that).

Villa Fura Valpolicella Ripasso

Ok, 99 cents above 10,- and you didn't get it from us, but if you want to be a bit ahead, then you drink appassimento, ripasso and the like. So take your chance with this delicious Italian wine with a full taste of cherries, berries, black pepper and cocoa. Mamma Mia!

Mucho Mas - Tinto

Mucho Mas - Tinto

At Felix Solis they asked their winemakers to throw all the rules overboard and go wild, but for a nice price and of course tasty. Well, there you have it: Mucho Más. With grapes from Toro, Valdepeñas and La Mancha, a short wood-matured blend of garnacha and supplemented with tempranillo. A country wine, but of the highest level. Lots of red fruit, spices, very very soft tannins and a delicious aftertaste. We have not yet met anyone who was not a fan. Just available at Gall&Gall and and and: sometimes they also have the 1,5l bottles. Party guaranteed.

Also take a look at you local liquor store, because #supportyourlocals of course, and ask for appropriate advice. The cheesemonger can usually also do something about it Market for example, has a particularly good range of natural wines. Be surprised, search and delve deeper the liquid goodness. Invent your own favorites because, really, good wines don't have to be very expensive.
