This is also Dubai: a green oasis with creative vibes
Van de hustle and bustle Dubais nightlife in the popular Marina district, to a green oasis with creative vibes. It seems like a big step... But it's not!
Because this is also Dubai!
On a large industrial estate (called Al Quoz), around the corner from the large hysterical shopping malls, there is a real hidden gem. And yes, of course you have to know how to find them gems. But when in Dubai, then this is a tough one MUST VISIT.
Says who? Our Sabrina! Our bar in Dubai. Read more about it here.
And what a surprise this is: the place called The Courtyard. In a location where you wouldn't expect it at all, in the middle of car garages, construction companies and more of that kind. You enter through a large gate into a green courtyard complete with fountains and such chill vibe that immediately makes you forget that you are in Dubai. The facades of the buildings on this square are inspired by old houses from Oman and Egypt, with Greco-Roman details, yes.
Do you like small design boutiques, interior design shops, artsy coffee shops and insta-worthy ones surroundings then this is for you – an artistic and cultural hub at its best. The Courtyard is another mix of cultures and backgrounds and exactly what makes Dubai so fun.
In the Courtyard you will find:
- A coffee shop (Boston Lane) owned by 2 Australian expats.
- An interior design shop with Marrakech vibes.(Tribe)
- A cafe/bistro (Cassette) with a French twist.
- There is even a small theater where you can... acting can attend workshops
- And there are several art galleries, all worth it.
Want to recover from the hysteria, the heat, the overkill of malls, and the eternally busy highways of this Emirate? Then this is the place to go to!
