The most wonderful (luxury) hotel addresses on Mykonos

It is widely known, and that is why we are going to talk about it a little more. Mykonos is the Ibiza of Greece. That's just how it is. And just like at Ibiza Mykonos also offers the chance to indulge in luxury. Toe dipping, paddling, sipping wine. You know the drill. And no, no, no, we're not talking about beach clubs à la Lindsay Lohan – Hollywood's most prodigal child (don't know what we're talking about? Good for you. Something about a Lindsay Lohan beach club on Mykonos).

Great. Where do you want to be on Mykonos? These hotels!

Numo Mykonos resort

Numo Mykonos resort

Located on the east side of Mykonos, near the surfer's paradise of Kalafita Beach, the resort is housed in an authentic Mykonian building inspired by the whitewashed houses of the 60s and 70s, but with a modern twist. We love it.

The boutique resort has 27 rooms, and each of these rooms (en suites) is equally handsome. The colors focus on the landscape of beautiful Mykonos: emerald green and blue-green of the Kalafati water, golden tones of the sand, bright orange and terracotta colors of the sunset. Just like the island, a picture.

Soho Roc House Mykonos

Soho Roc House Mykonos

Of course, from the well-known SOHO House group, Soho Roc House has opened its doors on our beloved Greek island. Perched on a hill above Paraga Beach, the hotel is open six months a year. With 44 bedrooms, each exceptionally stylish and picture-perfect, each room boasts a sea view and a poolside veranda. The hotel boasts an outdoor gym with a movement studio, massage huts, a rustic open-plan restaurant, and even a small chapel available for wedding ceremonies. Everything exudes a neo-bohemian vibe: rattan chairs, earth-toned cushions, wicker lampshades, and much more.

Soho Roc House is within walking distance of Paradise Beach, the place to be for the trending clubs, and of course also has its own social club where you can relax.

deodorants

deodorants

When we are still looking for an address to have a good nap on the Ibiza of Greece, we suddenly stumble across deodorantsSituated on a hill above the old harbor and less than a ten-minute walk from the center, the hotel feels both quieter and more architecturally sophisticated than you'd expect on Mykonos. In a good way, so to speak. The 60 rooms and suites feature private terraces, hot tubs or small pools, and, of course, views of the Aegean Sea.

And that sounds big, bigger, biggest, but Deos is part of the family-run Myconian Collection and there is a nice story behind it (read that here). Plenty to enjoy in Mykonos, but culinary is... Epic, the hotel's restaurant, led by Chef Ilias Maslaris, takes center stage. Here, Mediterranean tradition is expressed with seasonal produce, local fish and seafood, and herbs and vegetables from Cycladic growers. The wine list is full of wines from independent Greek vineyards, some of which are even organic and sustainable. Bucket list material, which – of course – comes with a price tag…

Noah's Villa Mykonos

Noah's Villa Mykonos

And just imagine that you've gotten a big promotion this past year, raked in a whopping bonus, won the lottery, or want to part with your great-grandmother's inheritance. Then invite your four best friends and set sail for Noah's villa. This villa is part of the equally luxurious Kivotos Mykonos hotel, nestled in a cliff between the rocks. But the great thing about Noah's villa is that it's entirely yours. You have your own little beach, your own hot tub, your own private pool, your own view. Just nice and cozy.

Nammos Mykonos

But we also understand that after all that me time would like to be among people again on your private beach. Please go to the jetset wants to stare and peer at luxury boats. Grab your sun hat, your cool frames and off you go Nammos. Because everything comes together here: yacht boats á la Saint Tropez and party vibes á la Nikki Beach. It's just part of it. Without Nammos there would be no Mykonos, that idea. You can stay here in one of the luxurious cabanas or just drop by for dinner, some bubbles and a sip of hookah.

Scorpios Mykonos

Scorpios Mykonos

When you talk about luxury on Mykonos, then... Scorpios Beach Club the tip everyone will give you. This beach bar is by far the hippest, most luxurious and most expensive hotspot on the island. You can think of a touch of Burning Man, a bit of old Ibiza, a pinch of Morocco and a healthy dose of Greek antiquity. In short: it has all the ingredients for an enchanting experience. You look out over the lagoons of Paraga and Kavos and that may not mean much to you now, but once seen = never forgotten.

Jackie O. Mykonos

Jackie O. Mykonos

Jackie O. On Mykonos is at least as iconic as Scorpios. Named after – triple duh – Jackie O., who was a frequent guest on the island. And if you name your beach bar after Jackie, you're not exactly setting the bar low. And that's why they catch up jackie o. big. So you can lounge by the pool or at the bay of the self-proclaimed Great paradise beach. But they mainly excel in terms of entertainment. Dinner shows with drag queens and flirty waiters, you won't lack attention here.
