With a rather unremarkable facade – partly because Meneer Paprika’s lively children’s shop is located across the street – StudioIF is housed in one of Haarlem’s coziest streets. Inside the shop, you’ll find sofas and furniture from L'Authentique and Cartel Living, among others, as well as small home accessories and even complete interior design advice. StudioIF is truly worth a visit. They work extensively with natural tones, and their items speak for themselves through their unique designs. Minimalist yet distinctive.
Generate more interior candy. At the end of 2022, Hanna and Vera opened a store with interior items, The James. Here they sell large and small ones homegoods in natural tones, black and white. From chunky candlesticks to beautiful glass and wool rugs. Or oversized wooden serving boards. And yes, they were in the Kleine Houtstraat but quickly outgrew their seams and moved half a year later to the cozy Schagchelstraat (near ID Store and Cé in the street) and now in a beautiful building in the Warmoestraat.

For years, De Ruijtermeubel has been a household name in the region and the place to go for anyone looking to give their interior a major upgrade. You will find designer brands, contemporary furniture, and plenty of options to put everything together entirely to your own taste. Found a sofa? That is when the real choosing begins, because next you dive into fabrics, leathers, colors, and finishes. Meanwhile, in the enormous showroom, you can wander around endlessly, try out the seats, compare, and hesitate between just those two shades of beige. I bet you won't walk out with just one new cushion!
