Family restaurant HwaWon is known as the most authentic Korean restaurant in Amsterdam. It's no wonder they've been there since 2003. Hwa Won has been temporarily closed since the end of August 2024, but hopefully they'll reopen soon. We'll keep an eye on their socials!
In Buitenveldert you can enjoy authentic Korean food at Khan. The owners of this restaurant come from the South Korean province of Jeollo-Du. That name probably doesn't ring a bell, but when you hear that this is the place where the UNESCO City of Gastronomy is located, you know you're in luck. Food, family and sharing are central here. Especially in the kitchen, mrs. Oh learned to cook from her mother in Korea. You won't get more authentic Korean than this.
In 2016 opened Seoul food their doors and now this cozy and snug Korean cafe is not to be missed. Seoul food is a real gem. Every day they prepare fresh Korean dishes and tasty home-made cold drinks. Also for take-away so a detour along the Kinkerstraat sounds like a good idea! In addition to the atmospheric eatery you will also find a shop with Korean snacks, sauces, drinks and beauty items that you can take home with you.
