Do whatever you want at Little Canvas Escape Ameland
If you want to get your nature fix, you no longer have to do it in a small, old tent on a leaky air mattress. Not those collapsed camping chairs that will leave your back aching for the rest of the day. No, real lounge furniture that you can sink into. If you at Little Canvas Escape Ameland go to sleep, you have luxury, style, comfort and you are in the middle of nature (but really in the middle of it, in the first dune barrier and directly on the sea). It may take a bit of searching upon arrival, but then you see the tipi tops rise above the dunes and you no longer see anything of the outside world (although there is plenty of fun within walking distance). Only greenery, dunes, rustling trees - the holiday has begun.
After her many travels around the world, entrepreneur Astrid has bundled all her ideas into this glamping child - a place where you can enjoy the outdoors and combine that with the experience, the service and the stylish decor of a small boutique hotel. When you say glamping, you say Little Canvas Escape.
With several Little Escape books in your own name, a name like Little Canvas Escape Ameland will of course get you in to Barts Boekje. Back to basics, phone off (or at least work on mute button) and just plain nothing. Bare feet in the grass, building sand castles, a morning swim and, as Astrid herself says; above all, just do and don't do what you feel like. Good food? That too! There are so many nice restaurants on Ameland and Astrid knows them all. Even though you don't have to go out for breakfast: you can simply book that. Very handy. Or you put your mini kitchen outside, let your partner set the table and start the day fresh.
Arrive and no longer have to set up your tent; Delicious! That's all already arranged for you. There is a comfortable bed (really very comfortable) with all kinds of nice pillows, you have a fridge for the vino, a small one glamping kitchen and your own outdoor space to do what you want. Are you missing something? No problemo, just send a message (there is wifi at all tents) and it will be arranged for you. Also nice: you can use all the facilities of camping Duinoord, so if you want to get some chips at the canteen, have fresh bread for breakfast from the baker in the morning or do the last little shopping at the camping shop, you can do it all there.
You can choose from the Bell Escape (two people), the Bell Escape Family (two adults and two children) or you can opt for the Escape Lodge (for two adults and three children). Whichever of the three you choose, you will sit (and sleep) well – the furnishings in each tent have received extra attention and you will notice that. If you still think: I'm missing something, then look further, because everything has been thought of. A mini hot water bottle and fleece blankets for the chilly evenings, a hanging rack for your wet swimwear and a beautiful cafetiere.
Happy glampers can buy various accessories and gadgets in the webshop to continue that holiday feeling (and sense of design) at home. They have thought well, because with the abundance of nice cushions, nice card holders, a very good one tote bag (which you can use for anything during your holiday), coffee cups, sweet dried flowers and whatever else this is a nice reorder extension of your holiday.
Oh, our Wadden Islands. So close to home and so often forgotten. Don't do that anymore from now on all five islands are favorites.
It's small, but nice, and all practically furnished - there are even extra extension cords for your camping kitchen and kettle. That's exactly how camping becomes glamping: when everything you might encounter has already been solved.
You can buy many of the things in the tent on the island itself, Astrid knows exactly where. Another top tip from Little Canvas Escape was how exactly to explore the island. Walking is certainly possible, cycling makes it a little easier, but the most fun and easy is on an e-chopper! Maxime from echopper rental clears all the routes and because the choppers are electric, you can just go into the dunes. Goodbye headwind, hello crossing the entire island!
From the ferry it is a half-hour walk or ten minutes by bike, straight through the center of Nes. Or you can take bus 2, which is usually waiting when your ferry arrives. Feet can be reached from the floor Beach Club The Sunset and then it is especially nice to explore Ameland by bike or on foot. Good to know: unfortunately our friendly four-legged friends are not allowed to come to Litte Canvas Escape Ameland. Advantage: a lot less sand in your tent.
The season is now starting to get underway again, but you are still in time if you want to stay for a week at Little Canvas Escape on Ameland!
