City trip Luxembourg: restaurants and wine bars

It is not surprising that Luxembourg has many nice restaurants, terraces and wine bars. Luxembourg City has a large share expats who come to work in this historic city. A city full of people who want to have a good time in addition to hard work. This results in a wide range of restaurants, bars, entertainment streets and pleasant squares. During you city trip to Luxembourg these nicest restaurants should be on your list.

What else is there to do in Luxembourg? By parks to sights and hotels.

Good News

Good News

This one is for the natural wine lovers and fans of fresh, honest food. Good News is a restaurant and wine bar at the Parc Municipal. Run by two young owners and a nice team, Bonne Nouvelle serves simple but delicious dishes from an ever-changing menu. Every now and then there is a takeover from an international chef or there is a spontaneous private party where everyone is welcome. There is an unusually hip atmosphere for Luxembourg and, in our opinion, a favorite for a snack or drink in Luxembourg.

Bazaar

Bazaar

Bazaar is located in a beautiful building on the corner of Place de Guillaume II. When the weather is sunny you can sit on the square, although the inside is always full on weekends. Bazaar has a Mediterranean-inspired menu with mezze, hummus, kefte and challah. And you might just have the urge to lick your plate. The dishes are mainly for sharing and there is plenty of choice from fish, meat and vegetarian. Reservations are recommended on weekends and the public attends Bazaar is about 30-40 and fashionable.

Scott's First Floor

Scott's First Floor

Yes, it is a tourist spot, but many local people also know where to find Scott's Pub. Right next to the bridge with the most beautiful photo spot in Luxembourg is Scott's Pub, where you can go for beer (dûh) and pub food (i.e. burgers and ribs). There is now also Scott's First Floor for more fine dining, good cocktails and a cozy atmosphere. Especially when you're at The First Floor If you can sit on the terrace at the Alzette, the location is really a 10/10.

The Gudde Weather

The Gudde Weather

De Gudde Wëllen has multiple personalities: an entertainment venue, a festival and a great terrace with a beautiful view over the valley. What they have in common are the craft beers and the indie vibe. If you visit Luxembourg in the summer months, the colorful terrace – De Gudde Weather – is a must. De Gudde Weather has a laid back atmosphere and you sit on colored chairs under a large tree where a shipping container serves as a bar. With the amazing view over the lower parts of the city as a big bonus. For the program of the indoor location and the festival, see DGW website.

Konrad

Konrad

In a cozy street on one of the terraces (with a view over the valley) is a café and bar Konrad. This cute little place with vintage interior and cozy tables outside has a Berlin atmosphere. Konrad is open from 10.00:01.00 to XNUMX:XNUMX: in the morning you come for coffee and cake and in the evening for food or cocktails with live music. Konrad is a popular bar in Luxembourg and it is always lively.

Onesto

Onesto

Next to Konrad sits Onesto, a friendly priced Italian with homemade pasta and pizza. Onesto is also a hit with the locals and in the weekends it is very full but they always find a place for you. Onesto has a very cozy terrace in the narrow street with a view over the valley and inside several cozy rooms with tables. Compliments for the friendly, flirtatious - real Italian - staff who make you feel welcome right away.

Vins Finns

Vins Finns

In Grund – one of the most picturesque parts of Luxembourg City – you will find Vins Finns. The name gives it away, here it's all about wine. Organic, biodynamic and natural wines to be specific. Good wine in combination with good food. Mostly dishes to share such as charcuterie platters, (vegetarian) carpaccios and escargots. The nicest thing is the beautiful corner building of Vins Fins in the small streets of the valley. It feels like you're sitting on a terrace at this wine bar a hundred years back in time.

Reed

Reed

Restaurant Reed is really a place where you can always sit comfortably. The interior with warm tones and rattan undoubtedly has something to do with that. The Portuguese dishes with a modern twist make you dream further away to the south. Here you can not only dine deliciously, Junco is also special kid proof, so you're sitting there completely relaxed. Our ultimate favorite? The beef stew with red wine sauce and roasted vegetables. And if you're going to have an alcohol-free evening, then the Cape Verde the ideal aperitif. An extra refreshing start to the evening with this mix of cucumber juice and tonic.
