Trip to Norway? Then use this packing list!
Planning a trip to Norway? Then of course there are a lot of items that you absolutely should not forget. Apart from a thick winter coat, there is a lot more you should put on your packing list. The treacherous thing about Norway is that the sun can shine wonderfully, but it can easily be around 5 degrees (even in the summer months). The special thing about it is that it can be a lot warmer the next day and taking your swimming trunks, bikini or bathing suit with you is not an unnecessary luxury. To be well prepared for your trip, below you will find a number of useful things to take with you.
Of course, we don't mention that you have to pack your toothbrush, toothpaste and the standard things...
You don't go to Norway to do nothing at all, other places are a lot more suitable for that. Because you can enjoy beautiful walks in Norway and you should definitely do so, a pair of sturdy walking shoes is not an unnecessary luxury. Good walking shoes require good socks, because you are less likely to get blisters. A (small and large) backpack is useful for your power bank, water bottle and some snacks.
Rondom Kristiansand you'll find lots of good places to go for a walk (plus you can stock up on snacks), and you'll be ready for a few hours in no time. Preparation is half the battle!
In the summer months the weather in Norway is also very changeable. A thick coat, gloves and a hat is not an unnecessary luxury. For example, one day it can be sunny and 20 degrees, while the next day the mercury does not rise above 5 degrees. Depending on what you're doing, layering is our motto here (and bring some thermals – you never know). Are you also planning to work up a sweat? Then some sportswear is also useful. You can enjoy beautiful walks and cycling, but there are also plenty of more intense hikes. Oh yes, your raincoat... It sometimes rains in Norway. It's not so green for nothing.
If you want the full Norway experience, camping in nature is also part of it. For example, you can opt for a road trip through part of Norway in your 4×4 with a roof tent (and if you don't have that 4×4, rent one). If you are going to rent and head to Kristiansand, we will ensure that you get off the boat Eemshaven Kristiansand arrival, your rental car or camper is ready for you.
You should read the camping checklist carefully, because you are pretty much on your own. Mattress, sheets, gas burner and chairs so that you can sit quietly in front of your tent: you have to fix everything yourself. You can of course make it a lot easier for yourself and just rent a fully stocked 4×4, so that you only have to think about your suitcase.
