The beautiful historic building on the nicest part of the quay on the Rhine houses a hotel and restaurant with terrace. If you stay there, try to book a room with a view of the river. Only drop by for lunch or dinner krafft is also a great idea. Krafft has a menu with meat, fish and vegetarian dishes for yourself or to share. And with a bit of luck (we had it at the end of October) you can sit outside on the terrace by the river.

Krafft, Volkshaus and Klara are a minute's walk away from each other. Klara is a small version of the Foodhallen. The nine food bars and a large bar in the middle are surrounded by cozy seating areas. Good food, nice drinks and meeting people is what you come to this place for. Klara is open every day from 11.00 a.m. to midnight. Only the food stands (not unimportant) are open from 12.00:14.00 to 18.00:22.00 and from XNUMX:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX. The interior resembles a forest, there are rocking chairs and they have game books for the kids.

The most typical Basel tip are the many refreshments that line the Rhine from spring to autumn. In several places you will find terraces where you can eat outdoors - in the sun or in the shade. Street food the Swiss way. On the menu of one refreshment bar there easy bites as pizza, snacks and salads.
