Delicious: Riad Kasbah Marrakech

You walk through a large city gate into the Kasbah district. A neighborhood with its own city walls where the palace staff used to live. Now, many years later, the neighborhood has recently been renovated and is a bit quieter than the busy city center. It is certainly, phew, a ten minute walk to the well-known souk, so put your legs to work. In this neighborhood, in one of those impossible streets, you will find Riad Kasbah.

The hustle and bustle of the city is instantly forgotten as soon as you step inside Riad Kasbah Marrakech. Riad Kasbah is nothing less than a wonderful home for a few days, when in Marrakech. The Riad offers no more than ten rooms, a roof terrace (alleluia!) and a swimming pool in the courtyard. No paddling pool. Not for paddling, no no no: a real swimming pool. OK, Let's be honest modest lengths can be drawn. But still, jobs! A big advantage compared to most other, also very pleasant, riads in Marrakech where tiny plunge pools are the rule.

The rooms are stylishly decorated with lots of dark wood and white walls. The owners have clearly put a lot of attention and love into everything and are also the most friendly. Also nice: every morning you get a huge breakfast with fresh fruit, a “thousand hole pancake” and an egg as you like it.

During the day it is also nice to stay at the Riad. Plenty of room for everyone to read a book or lie in the sun on that roof terrace.

A beautifully nice riad and also very affordable: for around 80 euros per room per night, which is 4 euros per person, you can sleep there and get a delicious and extensive breakfast in the bargain. Thief of your own wallet.
